2 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder David Peralta will remain on the bench for Game 2 of the American League Wild-Card Series on Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians and right-hander Triston McKenzie. Peralta has been on the bench for the first two games of the Wild-Card Series against the Guardians against right-handed pitchers, and it could be related to the fact that he injured his hip towards the end of the regular season earlier this week. Randy Arozarena is in left field for the Rays and is hitting third against McKenzie. The 35-year-old Peralta was much better against right-handed pitchers this year, going .267 (100-for-374) with 11 of his 12 home runs coming against them.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
