Bobby Witt Jr. Dealing With Stiff Back
Bobby Witt Jr. (back) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the division-rival Minnesota Twins with a stiff back. Manager Matt Quatraro said Witt woke up with back stiffness on Saturday but was able to play through it. The good news is that Witt will be available off the bench on Sunday if he feels well enough to hit. Fantasy managers should consider Witt day-to-day for now and check back on Monday to see if he's feeling good enough to return for the series opener against the Washington Nationals. With Witt out on Sunday, Maikel Garcia is starting at the 6 and batting second, with Adam Frazier at third base and hitting fifth against Twins right-hander Jose Urena. Witt went hitless on Saturday to snap a modest five-game hitting streak.
