Dameon Pierce, Devin Singletary To Share The Load?
1 year agoHouston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik said that the team believes "wholeheartedly in sharing the load" when running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) comes back after missing the last three games with an ankle injury. Devin Singletary has been very effective as Houston's lead back in the last three games with Pierce sidelined, but Slowik added that Pierce was making strides before he got hurt. The 23-year-old second-year back has been a disappointment after a promising rookie campaign, as he's averaging 3.00 yards per carry on 109 rushing attempts over seven games in 2023. A backfield timeshare with Pierce and Singletary will be bad news for both of their fantasy values. Pierce is trending toward returning in Week 12 to face the Jacksonville Jaguars after practicing in full on Thursday.
