D.J. Stewart Unlikely To Be Ready When Eligible
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder D.J. Stewart (ankle) is unlikely to be ready to come off the injured list when he's eligible next week. He's progressing from his sprained ankle but is coming along slowly. The team's No. 15 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, had just four hits in his first 24 at-bats (.167) with a steal in his first seven games this year before getting hurt. He has some intriguing upside in AL-only leagues if he can get regular playing time in Baltimore's outfield for the rest of the season when he returns from his injury. Don't be surprised if the Orioles make him go on a short minor league rehab assignment before he returns.
