Cowboys Not Opposed To Taking RB In First Round
2 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that he's not opposed to taking a running back in the first round of the NFL draft. "If you're taking a player in the top half, you're hoping you've got a player who is going to be here for 10 years," Jones said. The only realistic scenario for the Cowboys to take a running back in the first round of this year's draft is if they don't re-sign impending free-agent running back Tony Pollard before the end of April. Ezekiel Elliott has looked washed up the last two years, so Dallas certainly doesn't want to continue on with him as their primary backfield option. If the Cowboys bring Pollard back, it would be a huge surprise if they still went with an RB in the first round this year.
