Cooper Kupp 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Fading Veteran Clinging to Starting Role
Seattle Seahawks receiver Cooper Kupp saw his production decline greatly in his first season with the team last year. Despite playing 16 games, Kupp had just 47 catches on 70 targets for 593 yards, all his worst figures since his eight-game 2018 campaign. Kupp also scored just twice, a new career low. He finished as the WR53, and he was the WR58 on a per-game basis with only 7.3 PPR points per game. Much of this was due to the dominance of teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba, whose 35.9-percent target share topped all receivers. With the Seahawks returning Smith-Njigba in addition to Rashid Shaheed and Tory Horton, Kupp is facing competition for his starting gig. Moreover, this will be his age-33 season, and Kupp has already had major problems staying on the field, missing at least five games in each season from 2022 through 2024. While the Seattle offense should continue humming even without Kenneth Walker III, Kupp's fantasy value should continue dropping. He has been going as the WR82 in fantasy drafts, accurately reflecting that he is a late-round option at best. There should be more exciting choices on the board at that stage of your draft.
