Christian Yelich Could Land On Injured List
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) did some more pregame activities on Monday, but the Brewers will likely have to make a decision on whether to place him on the injured list on Tuesday, according to manager Craig Counsell. Yelich has only played in one of the team's last 10 games due to a lingering back ailment, and the Brewers may want to play it safe with the 31-year-old left-handed hitter in order to get him healthy for the postseason. In addition to his injury, he's gone 7-for-49 (.143) with a home run, one double, three RBI, 22 strikeouts and 10 runs scored in 14 games (13 starts) since Aug. 25. Yelich has had a resurgent season overall, though, and the Brew Crew is going to need him healthy and productive in order to make a deep postseason run.
