Charlie Blackmon Won't Be Available For Start Of Camp
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon will not be available for the start of summer camp on Saturday after testing positive for COVID-19, according to manager Bud Black. Pitchers Phil Diehl and Ryan Castellani have already returned after testing negative. It's unclear how long Blackmon will be out or if it'll have an effect on his performance in the shortened season, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Given that the season won't start until late July, the 33-year-old should still be considered a top-15 fantasy outfielder. He hit .314/.364/.576 with 32 home runs, 86 RBI, 112 runs and two steals in 140 games last year and makes his home at one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks in the majors in Coors Field.
