Brandon Drury Still Out On Wednesday
6 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Brandon Drury (illness) will miss another game on Wednesday in the series finale against the visiting Oakland Athletics. Drury has been out for over a week now with an upper-respiratory illness and could land on the 10-day injured list if he's unable to play in the team's four-game weekend series against the visiting Detroit Tigers that begins on Thursday evening. For now, though, the 31-year-old veteran remains day-to-day. Along with a lot of the Angels players this year, Drury has had a miserable season between his production and his healthy. He's only had 110 at-bats and is currently hitting .173 with only one home run, six RBI and nine runs scored for the Halos. Luis Rengifo will handle second base on Wednesday and will bat in the two-hole against A's right-hander Joey Estes.
