The Toronto Blue Jays are finalizing their long list of managerial candidates to interview. The process could begin as soon as next week with face-to-face meetings. External candidates that are receiving consideration include Astros bench coach Joe Espada, Giants farm director David Bell, Dodgers third base coach Chris Woodward, Indians first base coach Sandy Alomar Jr., Phillies bench coach Rob Thompson, Rays field coordinator Rocco Baldelli, Cardinals Triple-A manager Stubby Clapp, Indians minor league defensive instructor John McDonald, ex-Yankees manager Joe Girardi and ESPN broadcaster Eduardo Perez.
