Auston Matthews Hurt in Tuesday's Loss
Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews (lower body) made an early exit against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. He left the action after absorbing a hit from Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov, finishing with 10:51 of ice time. No update was provided on Matthews after the game. "I don't know exactly," Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube said. "I can't give you a timeline or how serious it is right now. I'm not sure when he hurt it, to be honest with you." Matthews hasn't missed any games this season yet. However, the Maple Leafs captain has been off form, settling for 14 points (nine goals, five assists) in 17 games. He has finished scoreless in four of his last eight outings. Max Domi could get back into the top six if Matthews has to miss time.
