San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges (elbow) is approaching a rehab assignment. Hedges received clean MRI results last week and resumed defensive drills and batting practice. He'll head to Arizona this week and is on track to begin a rehab assignment soon. Hedges has been out since May 1 with right elbow tendinitis. He was hitting a weak .173 with two homers and 10 RBI prior to the injury. Hedges is not a viable fantasy option unless managers are willing to risk significant erosion in batting average for some power upside.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
