The Oakland Athletics announced on Tuesday that they exercised manager Mark Kotsay's option for the 2025 season. The move comes after another trying season for the A's in which they went 50-112 in 2023 after going 60-102 in his first season as the skipper in 2022. The 47-year-old former big-league outfielder signed a three-year deal through the 2024 season, which included an option for 2025. Even though the A's have gone 110-214 in two seasons under Kotsay, he has ushered in a positive outlook in the team's clubhouse amid dwindling crowds in Oakland due to owner John Fisher's plans to relocate the team to Las Vegas in the future.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
