Philadelphia Phillies infield prospect Aroon Escobar is headed to Double-A Reading. The Phils' fifth-ranked prospect began the season at Single-A, earning himself a promotion to High-A in early July. Although Escobar's batting average stands at just .256 after 46 games at High-A, he was hitting much better as of late, producing a .299 batting average over his last 22 games while belting four home runs and stealing eight bases during that time. On the season, the 20-year-old has authored a .274/.366/.420 slash line with 15 home runs and 24 steals. Dynasty managers should be on alert, as the right-handed hitting Venezuelan could blossom into even more power, and combined with his hit tool and his speed, Escobar could be in the majors much sooner than expected.--Jarod Rupp
