Andy Reid Considering Retirement?
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid didn't say "no" when asked if he'd retire following Super Bowl LVII against his old team, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday, Feb. 12. Reid said he's enjoying this year's Super Bowl more than in some of his past trips to the big game, perhaps a sign that he's considering retirement seriously. He indicated that he'll have a decision to make after Sunday's game, but he knows he still has a star quarterback in his prime in Patrick Mahomes, which will make it very difficult to step away. Riding off into the sunset as a Super Bowl champion would be enticing, but it would still be a pretty big surprise if Reid were to retire following the Super Bowl. The future Hall of Fame coach began his coaching career with the Eagles in 1999.
