Alec Bohm Playing First Base Sunday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies corner infielder Alec Bohm is starting at first base and hitting fifth against the Milwaukee Brewers and left-hander Wade Miley on Sunday. Bohm will shift across the infield after starting at third base each of the last three games. He's been much better against left-handers this year, going 42-for-133 (.316) with nine of his 15 home runs in 143 plate appearances, so fantasy managers will want him in their starting lineups despite the fact he's gone just 1-for-11 with a double in his last three games. The 27-year-old is hitting .279/.336/.434 with 15 home runs, 82 RBI, four stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 459 games in 2023 in his fourth MLB season for the Phils. In just four career at-bats against Miley, he has two hits and two RBI.
