Aaron Judge Held Out Of The Lineup
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is not playing on Tuesday against the Blue Jays in Toronto. Judge will take a seat after playing in the team's last 22 games, but the Yankees could hold him out the rest of the way to close out the 2023 regular season with nothing on the line. The 31-year-old American League MVP in 2022 missed a big chunk of the season after tearing a ligament in his big right toe this summer, and the Yankees don't want to push him with the team already eliminated from the postseason. Oswaldo Cabrera draws another start in right field and will hit seventh against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. Following up a record-breaking 2022 campaign, Judge has hit .266 (94-for-354) with 35 home runs, 71 RBI, three stolen bases and 74 runs scored in 102 games this year.
