Atlanta Falcons - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Falcons will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they fell to the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 20-17 in week 9. Atlanta entered the game as 2.5 point underdogs on the spread. The over-under betting total going into the game was 49, which the teams did not surpass. In the losing effort, the Falcons blew a 3 point lead heading into the 4th quarter, as Los Angeles outscored them by 6 in the final period. Through 9 games, the Falcons have an ATS record of 6-3. So far, they have an over-under record of 5-4. This week's betting total of 44.5 is right in line with their previous games.

As the Falcons prepare to take on Carolina, they have played well on offense, ranking 9th in points per game at 24.11. Look for the team to put together another strong offensive performance, as they are facing a Panthers defense ranked 30th in points per game. Although the Falcons come into the game ranked just 30th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing a Carolina secondary that is vulnerable through the air. We expect Atlanta to have an above-average performance in the passing attack. On the ground, the Falcons should also be in line for a good performance, as they are one of the better rushing teams in the league and are facing a defense that has its problem stopping the run.

Carolina Panthers - NFL Betting Analysis

In week 9, the Carolina Panthers dropped a non-conference matchup against the Bengals by a score of 42-21. In terms of betting, Carolina not only lost the game but failed to cover the spread as 7.0 point underdogs. In terms of the over-under, the teams combined for 63 points, which surpassed the betting line of 42. The Panthers were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Cincinnati by a score of 42-7 heading into the final quarter. Through 9 games, the Panthers have an ATS record of 3-6. So far, they have an over-under record of 4-5. This week's betting total of 44.5 is slightly higher than the line in their previous games.

Heading into this week's matchup, the Panthers' offense is averaging 19.89 points per game, placing them 23rd in the NFL. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Falcons defense giving up 25 points per game. Although the Panthers come into the game ranked just 28th in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing an Atlanta secondary that is vulnerable through the air. We expect Carolina to have an above-average performance in the passing attack. On the ground, Carolina is 28th in the league in rushes per game. The team would benefit from turning to the run more often, as their yards per rush figure of 4.6 is 15th in the leauge.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Falcons vs. Panthers

When looking back at the recent matchups between Atlanta and Carolina, the Falcons have won 2 of the last 3 games. The two teams have combined to average 51.0 points per game in their last 3 meetings. The Falcons will be looking to pick up yet another win over the Panthers as the picked up a 37-34 win at home in week 8. Although the Falcons came away with the win, the game ended in an ATS push. Looking back to last year's matchups between the teams, both Atlanta and Carolina picked up a win. The Falcons won their game by a score of 29-21, while the Panthers picked up a 19-13 victory.

The Carolina Panthers have performed well vs the spread in recent games, going 2-1. On average, the Falcons have averaged 26.33 points per game in the past 3 head-to-head matchups, compared to Carolina at 24.67.

Across their previous 3 regular season games, the Falcons have a straight-up record of just 1-2. Like their straight-up record, Atlanta struggled vs the spread, going 0-3. Over these games, they put together an over-under record of 2-1.

In their last 3 games away from home, the Falcons have a straight up record of 1-2 while going 2-1 vs the spread. The team averaged 19.67 points per game in this stretch.

Through their 3 most recent regular season matchups, the Panthers have gone 1-2. Like their straight-up record, Carolina struggled vs the spread, going 2-1. Over these games, they put together an over-under record of 2-1.

Through their last 3 home games, Carolina has an ATS record of just 1-2. However, their overall record was 1-2 while averaging 17.33 points per game.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Falcons -3.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Over 44.5
