LIV Golf announced Tuesday that it will expand to a four-round, 72-hole format starting in 2026. The move is a notable shift from the 54-hole format that LIV has utilized since its inception four years ago, though it will continue to feature both team and individual competitions at its events. The format change appears to be aimed at bolstering LIV's bid for Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) points, which have so far been unavailable to its players.
