On Wednesday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series held a qualifying session to lock in the first 20 drivers for the Cook Out Clash exhibition race that will take place on Wednesday evening.
Drivers were split into three groups, and all had equal time on track to post a fast lap. The 20 fastest drivers in qualifying locked themselves into the Clash race on Wednesday night.
The remaining drivers will participate in the Last Chance Qualifier on Wednesday evening before the main event. The top two finishers of that race will move on to the Clash event.
