MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (5/3/25)

Cal Raleigh - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Saturday, 5/3/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome, RotoBallers, to another DFS breakdown. In this piece, we will analyze the top pitchers, hitters, and stacks to target for Saturday's MLB slate.

We have a smaller main slate this evening, which will make stacking critical. Several pitchers are taking the mound this evening who do not carry the best metrics, which will form the foundation of our lineups. There is one important note for today's slate. The DraftKings main slate features the late game between the Tigers and Angels, but it is not included on FanDuel.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/3/2025. The main slate is at 6:40 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks listed below include a variety of elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jack Flaherty, DET at LAA ($9K DK; Not included on FanDuel)

Jack Flaherty will be a popular play this evening, facing the Los Angeles Angels, who will be without outfielder Mike Trout (knee). Flaherty enters this contest with a solid 3.34 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 38:11 K:BB across his first 32 2/3 innings.

The Angels have posted the second-highest strikeout rate as a team when facing right-handed pitching (26.0%). In addition, the Angels have generated the seventh-lowest wRC+ facing righties.

Nick Lodolo, WSH at CIN ($8.2K DK; $9.3K FD)

The Washington Nationals have posted the seventh-highest strikeout rate this season when facing left-handed pitching, which should put Nick Lodolo in a great position. Lodolo is coming off his best outing of the season, where he tossed seven innings of two-hit ball against the Colorado Rockies. In this outing, he struck out nine.

Through 36 innings, the southpaw has posted a strong 2.25 ERA with a stellar 0.86 WHIP.

Luis Castillo, SEA at TEX ($7.9K DK; $9.1K FD)

The Texas Rangers have struggled to generate offense against right-handed pitching this season and will have a tough time against Seattle right-hander Luis Castillo. Castillo enjoyed a strong bounce-back outing in his most recent start, logging six one-hit innings against the Marlins.

The Rangers have posted a low 88 wRC+ and a .291 wOBA against righties, the sixth-lowest marks in the sport.

Also consider: Kris Bubic at BAL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cal Raleigh, C - SEA vs. Patrick Corbin ($4.9K DK; $3.3K FD)

The 28-year-old backstop has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, especially from a power perspective, going deep 10 times and adding six doubles across his first 30 games. He has brought in 18 RBI and scored 19 runs.

This evening, he should be in a great position to continue his power surge, facing Texas southpaw Patrick Corbin. Corbin relies on two types of fastballs, a sinker and a cutter. When facing sinkers from southpaws this season, Raleigh has posted a 1.561 xSLG. Target him with confidence this evening.

Gleyber Torres 2B - DET vs. Kyle Hendricks ($4.8K DK; Not included on FanDuel)

Gleyber Torres is currently day-to-day with a hamstring injury, but if he is given the clearance to play this evening, he should be viewed as a top option. Through his first 20 games in Detroit, Torres has posted a strong .300/.360/.475 slash line with two doubles and four home runs.

This evening, he will face Kyle Hendricks, who relies heavily on a changeup and sinker. When facing changeups from right-handed pitching, Torres boasts a .435 xSLG. When facing sinkers, he has generated a stellar .636 xSLG.

Matt McLain, 2B - CIN vs. Trevor Williams ($4.6K DK; $3.1K FD)

Matt McLain should be set up well for success this evening, facing a Washington right-hander who leans heavily on his fastball. When facing fastballs from right-handers this season, McLain has found great success, generating a .681 xSLG and a .444 xwOBA.

Even though the 25-year-old has gotten off to a slow start this season, his 14.5% barrel rate suggests better days are ahead. Facing Williams, he should be posted to get back on track.

Also Consider: Gavin Lux - CIN, Elly De La Cruz - CIN, Spencer Torkelson DET, Matt Olson ATL

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Riley Greene, OF - DET vs. Kyle Hendricks  ($4.1K DK; Not included on FanDuel)

Riley Greene has been a streaky hitter throughout the opening month but should be in position to stay hot at the plate this evening, facing Hendricks. Entering Friday, Greene has been swinging a hot bat over his last eight contests, posting a .400/.455/.733 line with one double and three long balls.

When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching (Hendricks' second-most used pitch), Greene has generated an elite .681 xSLG.

Randy Arozarena, OF - SEA vs. Patrick Corbin ($4.8K DK; $3.5K FD)

While Raleigh will have success against Corbin's sinker, Arozarena should mash his cutter. When facing cutters from left-handed pitchers this season, the 30-year-old has posted an excellent .818 xSLG.

When facing left-handed pitching in general this season, Arozarena has posted a strong .485 SLG, which is much higher than the .370 SLG he holds against righties this season. Entering Friday, Arozarena has posted a .255/.397/.426 line over his last 12 contests.

Michael Harris II, OF - ATL vs. Roki Sasaki ($4.3K DK; $3K FD)

My final outfielder to highlight is Michael Harris of the Atlanta Braves. This evening, he will face top prospect Roki Sasaki, who has struggled at times during his first taste of the major leagues. He leans on his fastball (51% usage), which should provide Harris with an excellent opportunity to have a successful evening.

When facing fastballs from right-handers this season, the 24-year-old has generated a strong .529 xSLG. He enters this game swinging a hot bat as well, holding a .300/.323/.400 line over his last seven contests.

Also Consider: Julio Rodriguez - SEA, Kerry Carpenter DET, Marcell Ozuna ATL

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Detroit Tigers (vs. Kyle Hendricks - LAA) *Not included on FanDuel

The 35-year-old is the top pitcher to target this evening. He enters this contest holding a 6.65 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP across his first 23 innings as an Angel. Across this stint, he has struck out just 13 batters. Under the hood, Hendricks sits in the 22nd percentile in xERA and the 26th percentile in ground-ball rate.

His sinker (the second-most used pitch) is also due for significant regression, as its .367 xSLG is much higher than the .222 SLG it currently holds. Target Detroit hitters with confidence.

Favorite Hitter Combo: Greene, Torres, Carpenter, Dingler

Seattle Mariners (vs. Patrick Corbin - TEX)

Patrick Corbin has held his own through his first 19 innings in Texas, posting a modest 3.79 ERA, which is a solid improvement compared to the 5.62 ERA he held during the 2024 campaign. However, his hefty 4.63 xERA and .296 xBA (28th and 13th percentile) suggest significant regression is coming.

As mentioned above, Corbin has not had much success with his sinker or cutter. The Mariners should be in a prime position to light up the scoresheet this evening.

Favorite Hitter Combo: Arozarena, Raleigh, Rodriguez,

Cincinnati Reds (vs. Trevor Williams - WSH)

Trevor Williams has had a rough start to the 2025 season, holding a 5.270 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP over his first 30 innings of work. He allowed five runs to the New York Mets in his last start.

His primary pitch, his fastball, has generated a .466 xSLG with a low 16.9 percent put-away rate.

Favorite Hitter Combo: McLain, Lux, De La Cruz
