Matt Miller dives into his top longshot bets for the 2026 RBC Heritage sleeper plays, value bets, and under-the-radar golf betting insights.
Welcome to my weekly longshots article! The purpose of this piece is to identify players further down the board who are low-risk, high-reward wagers. For purposes of this article, I am considering longshots to be players over 100-1 on the odds list.
The wagers listed below might have playability in various sectors of the market. Please search your shops to see if you can find anything enticing.
If you have any additional questions for me, you can find me on X @MattyMillz85. I am always more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Also, stay tuned for additional announcements from me here in 2026. Big things are on the way!

Wyndham Clark (115-1 DraftKings)
Wyndham Clark has been hitting his irons extremely well as of late. The 32-year-old has gained strokes on approach in seven consecutive starts and nine of his last ten. Harbour Town is very much a second-shot golf course so iron play will be the most important thing to keep an eye on heading into this week.
Clark also possesses a good short game which will be important this week at the RBC Heritage. He has gained strokes around the green in six of his nine starts to begin 2026. Last year, the Oregon graduate finished 22nd on the PGA Tour in strokes gained around the green.
Wyndham Clark was sizzling today with a 4-under par 68 to jump to T3 (just one shot behind the leaders).
However, he went 3rd person in his post round presser ruining any good will he'd built up, "I'm hoping this is the start of a great run of Wyndham Clark golf." pic.twitter.com/WpBB0xNGsM— Chris McKee (@mrmckee) April 10, 2026
Clark already has three PGA Tour wins under his belt, including a major championship. It is pretty crazy that we continue to see him at numbers north of 100-1.
Austin Smotherman (210-1 DraftKings)
Austin Smotherman is another player who has absolutely striped his irons to begin 2026. Smotherman has gained strokes on approach in eight of nine starts so far this season. He ranks 5th on the PGA Tour this season in strokes gained approach.

While Smotherman is still searching for his first PGA Tour win, he has won three times on the Korn Ferry Tour. Two of the three wins came last summer so Smotherman should feel comfortable on the weekend while in contention. The 31-year-old finished T2 at the Cognizant Classic in March.
Billy Horschel (250-1 FanDuel)
Billy Horschel has now gained strokes on approach in three straight starts. He has also gained strokes putting in four of his last six starts. While it hasn’t necessarily translated to great results, the strokes gained data is better than the finishes would indicate.
Horschel has multiple top ten finishes at this event in his career, including a T5 in 2018. It would be a big ask for Horschel to win but I would not be surprised to see him finish inside the top 20 this week.
