KBO DFS Lineup Picks for 6/4/20 - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball

John Gresen's KBO DFS lineup picks for contests on FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/4/20. Daily fantasy baseball analysis for pitchers, hitters and DFS stacks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another KBO DFS pick column with yours truly! If you haven't been following me on Twitter @efhatch1990dfs, then you should start! I have been covering KBO since day one, and have been creating my own personal KBO DFS Cheat Sheets to help people win money, you will now be able to find those sheets here on Rotoballer with the ease of a click and that is why you won't be seeing my sheets included here anymore unless I make a custom sheet for a particular reason!

New to KBO? Don't worry, we got you covered! DraftKings and FanDuel will use the same scoring system that they do for MLB, however, the roster builds are much different on FanDuel. You must roster two infielders, two outfielders, and two utility players along with a pitcher for a total of only seven players on FanDuel.  DraftKings has kept its normal MLB structure with two starting pitchers and an entire eight-hitter lineup for a total of ten players. Building lineups on each site is going to be a good bit different on most nights.

Today, I'll be providing my KBO DFS lineup picks and analysis for this five-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:30 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2020. You can check our daily KBO Betting Picks as well. Make sure you are also following me @efhatch1990dfs on Twitter, and good luck RotoBallers!

KBO DFS Pitchers

Eric Jokisch (KIW) -250

$9.5K DraftKings. $21 FanDuel

Jokisch is a great play in GPPs on DraftKings, and cash games on FanDuel. I just can’t get away from him being the cheapest pitcher on the slate, and he’s a cash game lock there, but do we fade him in GPPs? Let’s look at game logs quickly.

5/29 - 58 vs KTW, 5/23 - 34 vs LOT, 5/16 - 37 vs LG, 5/12 - 49 vs SAM. His only game without a win was his first start vs KIA with 24 points. He brings a great floor and great ceiling so I am not fading on FanDuel, and unless you're making 20+ lineups, I wouldn’t stray too far for the price.

HAN is currently striking out as a team at 18.1% and Jokisch is at 23.9% for the 2020 season. Throw in the fact that his ERA is under one after five starts, and this is a prime spot. All signs point to his having a fantastic outing here.

Aaron Brooks (KIA) -167

$8K DraftKings, $27 FanDuel

Brooks is a good mid-salary guy I like to pair with Jokisch on DraftKings for a cash game. On FanDuel I’m not a fan, as he’s the highest-priced pitcher there. He’s a safe play on this slate and has a good floor for cash games, as he’s heavily favored in the lowest total game on the slate.

Lotte is ranked third-worst in the league in terms of OPS against right-handed pitching this season, as well as the third-lowest ISO. Brooks has done a great job so far in the KBO, but with a .352 BABIP. If he can get just a little more luck on his side, he should be able to bring up his already good but not great 75% LOB up. He should be able to cruise through this struggling team for a quality outing.

Chan Heon Jung (LG) -139

$6.5K DraftKings, $25 FanDuel

For GPPs, I’m going to drop to Jung for salary relief. I know this is a risky play against a surging Samsung team, but looking at the lower end there isn’t much you want to play on this slate. I actually prefer to run the two previous pitchers together and get different with the bats, but Jung has pitched better than his numbers suggest as he gave up two home runs against HAN.

That is concerning - but he made it through six innings, giving up three earned runs on five hits with six K’s and only one walk, in 78 pitches. In his other two games came against Doosan and Kiwoom, two of the three top offenses in the league, he had a serviceable game against KIW and managed to stay above negative against Doosan.

He will be low owned after what happened this morning, and could put up a nice game coming in with a 21.2% K-rate this season. He’s also pitching in the best pitchers’ park in the league.

Other Options:

KBO Top Hitter Stacks

Doosan Bears

I don’t think I can write this without mentioning Doosan. After the huge let down last night at a high ownership, I believe they will be less owned tonight due to recency bias. But im going right back to the well in cash and GPP - this team has too much upside, and usually a floor (aside from last night).

This game has the highest total and they are facing Min Kim, after putting up seven runs against him in his first start and hitting two home runs in that game. That was in Jamsil where Doosan and LG share a park. Being in a mildly better hitting park, and I love Doosan here.

Min Kim has not been missing bats, unless its outside the strike zone, with just a 12.4% K-rate and a 15.5% walk rate. This is a matchup made in heaven for this team as they are made for small ball, and now the power bats can drive everyone in.

Main Targets:

  • Jose Fernandez
  • Jae Il Oh
  • Jae Hwan Kim
  • Joo Hwan Choi
  • Soo Bin Jung
  • Everyone else in the line up in play as well

NC Dinos

The Dinos come in as the best-hitting team against left-handed pitching in the league in terms of OPS, and have just been crushing them with a .259 team ISO.

They have hit 11 bombs against lefties, and the lefty himself Sung Bum Na is leading the pack with four. He’s a beast against same-handed pitchers, and I'm not fading him tonight. This is just one of those teams we can rely on against lefties.

Main Targets:

  • Sung Bum Na
  • Jin Sung Kang
  • Eui Ji Yang
  • Suk Min Park

Secondary

Kiwoom Heroes

Kiwoom has been starting to really heat up winning four of their last five games, three of which where they scored nine or more runs. Min Woo Kim is a pitcher we can target - don’t let his 20-something percent strikeout rate for this season fool you. He was at 14.6% in 2019, and a career 15.5%, so he is performing well above what I believe he should be in that aspect.

He has given up five bombs this year with two multi-home run games already, and that bodes with his career numbers of giving up runs to power. I like a mini-power stack and full stakes of this game, as Kim's 10.3% walk rate can help put runners on the bases.

Main Targets:

  • Byung Ho Park
  • Jung Ho Lee
  • Dong Won Park
  • Hye Sung Kim (ever since his cycle he's been a stud for this team)

Secondary:

  • Ha Seong Kim
  • Keon Chang Seo

Other DFS Stacks

  • KT Wiz
  • Kia Tigers

I like LG power bats for one-offs. Eun Sung Chae and Roberto Ramos stick out a bit, as well as SAM power bats Tyler Saladino, Won Seok Lee, and a chalk Rojas one-off.

Good luck in your DFS contests everyone. Be sure to stop back every day for some more KBO DFS analysis here at RotoBaller!
