KBO DFS Lineup Picks for 5/29/20 - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball

John Gresen's KBO DFS lineup picks for contests on FanDuel and DraftKings on 5/29//20. Daily fantasy baseball analysis for pitchers, hitters and DFS stacks.

Welcome back, Rotoballers, to another KBO DFS pick column with yours truly! If you haven't been following me on Twitter @efhatch1990dfs, then you should start! I have been covering KBO since day one, and have been creating my own personal sheets to help people win money. I am going to include some of that data here in my RotoBaller column, too.

New to KBO? Don't worry, we got you covered! DraftKings and FanDuel will use the same scoring system that they do for MLB, however, the roster builds are much different on FanDuel. You must roster two infielders, two outfielders, and two utility players along with a pitcher for a total of only seven players on FanDuel.  DraftKings has kept its normal MLB structure with two starting pitchers and an entire eight-hitter lineup for a total of ten players. Building lineups on each site is going to be a good bit different on most nights.

Today, I'll be providing my KBO DFS lineup picks and analysis for this five-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:30 AM on Friday, May 29, 2020. You can check our daily KBO Betting Picks as well. Make sure you are also following me @efhatch1990dfs on Twitter, and good luck RotoBallers!

KBO DFS Pitchers

2020 Pitchers Stats

Drew Rucinski NCD ($9.3K Draftkings, $28) -285

Today Rucinski gets to face Samsung in a great matchup, he comes in with an ERA of just 2.49 and is at a 21.9% K rate so far. He already faced SAM once this year on opening day and put up a decent stat line of 6 innings, 3 hits, 0 ER, 4 BB, and 6Ks since he has only walked only one batter in each game. He is a safe option for cash games if you have the salaries and I will be using him for just that. He should be a lock for the win with how hot the Dinos bats are and his ability to keep runners from scoring having a 86% LOB and only giving up 2 bombs, both in the same game against KT, he has a safe floor with some k-upside.

Eric Jokisch KIW ($9K Draftkings, $24) -220

Here we go again, I’m going to suggest a lefty against KT, yesterday it went sound but Jokisch has started this season out steamrolling teams with an ERA of 1.17 and 0.87 WHIP he’s just dominating teams and as I alluded to yesterday, KT isn’t that good against lefties, and Jokisch seems to be in better form then Yang yesterday. He has yet to give up a home run and is striking batters out at a 7.04 K/9 clip. That’s is a little above his season average last year so it may come down a smidge.

Min Woo Kim HAN ($6.9K Draftkings, $26) - EVEN

This is going to be a great salary saver on this slate for DraftKings, getting a matchup against a struggling SK team and there missing there best bat in Dong Min Han, only one batter, Jamie Romak, has more than one home run and he only has two. Bombs have been Min Woo Kims kryptonite. In there first meeting Dong Min Han took him deep twice when Kim came on in a relief role, since becoming a starter he has only given up one home run and he should return value and have a huge k-upside with a 26% k rate so far. He’s a great GPP play and if you need the salary a cash option but risky not being favored.

Other options:

Raul Alcantara (DOO)

Aaron Brooks (KIA)

KBO Top Hitter Stacks

NC Dinos

Dinos have maybe one of the best matchups on the slate going against Dae Woo Kim a reliever turned starter, he has the second-lowest k rate and the second-highest walk rate on the slate this season, meaning a lot of runners on bases and a lot of balls in play with a 1.55 WHIP. When I’m looking for a stack that’s what I want! Batters who are able to put a string of hits together so everyone scores points. Did I mention he also has the second-highest HR/9 at 1.64? They can run him off the mound and get the bad arms out the pen. Going off 2019 data the dinos lead all the teams in ISO and wOBA. They’ll be chalk but for a good reason

2019 Data Sample

Main Targets:

Eui Ji Yang, Sung Bum Na, Aaron Altherr (FD), and Jin Hyuk No

Kiwoom Heroes

Going right back to these guys tonight per usual, they have a great matchup in Min Kim whose has control issues throughout his career walking 10.6% in his career and this season is all the way up to 15.5! And a 1.72 WHIP, that’s going to put runners on the bases and he has given up 1.15 HR/9 making this a great full stake. Byungho Park will be a staple and a great one-off as well he’s starting to really heat up along with Dong Won Park.

Main Targets:

Byung-ho Park, Dong Won Park, Jung Hoo Lee, and Keon Chang Seo for a somewhat cheaper option.

Doosan Bears

I’m not going to write a whole lot here because we all know that this team is fighting with the Dinos for the best team in the league, they face a struggling pitcher with a 6.00 ERA and the highest 1.73 WHIP on the slate, that bodes well for the type of team Doosan is not having a lot of power (they have a lot of power) but more being able to get on base and drive in runs also being at home in the largest field gives them the opportunity to get on base and drive them in with singles and doubles.

Main Targets:

Jose Fernandez, Jae Hwan Kim, and Kun Woo Park,  are the pricey bats while everyone else is $2.7K and below on Draftkings. I like Jung Soo Bin and Jae Won Oh if he's in the line up the most, Jae Oh Il may return to the starting line up tomorrow as he pinch-hit this morning, don't know if he's ready for a full workload I would stay away till we see how he is doing.

I just realized these are the exact same teams I recommended yesterday sorry but you can't beat the spot these teams are in.

Good one-offs or mini stacks would be Jamie Romak and Jeong Choi from SK and Preston Tucker from KIA are in play today looking for home runs.

Good luck in your DFS contests everyone. Be sure to stop back every day for some more KBO DFS analysis here at RotoBaller!
