J.K. Dobbins is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: In his first game since Week 1 last season, Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins shined in his new offense. Dobbins only had a 58% snap share and took 37% of the team’s carries, but he looked much more explosive than backfield running mate Gus Edwards.
Dobbins rushed 10 times for 135 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for four yards. It was a remarkable sight to see the former Baltimore Raven looking so explosive after a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn Achilles.

With Jim Harbaugh likely to ride the hot hand in the backfield, it is pretty clear that the hot hand is currently Dobbins. After his RB4 finish in Week 1, Dobbins needs to be rostered and started in all leagues for Week 2. Los Angeles faces Carolina, who just surrendered 47 points and 180 rushing yards to New Orleans. Dobbins is in RB1 territory this week and cannot be left on benches, much less waiver wires.
