After yet another disappointing season in 2022, the Arizona Cardinals appear to be in the early stages of a rebuild. Major changes have already taken place, and more appear on the way.
The organization seems to have reached a breaking point, and no longer want to continue their losing ways.
One of the questions being asked as we head into the 2023 season is who will be the team's main offensive weapon? Will wide receiver Marquise Brown be the guy? Let's take a look at all the rumors and reports to try and find the answer.

Is Marquise Brown The Cardinals WR1 in 2023?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past calendar year, you know that the Cardinals were actively shopping superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins this off-season. Besides changing head coaches, the movement of Hopkins was not only the biggest potential deal on the table for the team but also a mandatory move.
If Arizona truly wants to begin reshaping the roster, get younger, and improve, they needed to shed the salary of the talented big-name WR. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to find a trade partner and were forced to simply release the star. The person who looks to benefit the most from his release is Brown, who automatically slides into the WR1 position on a depleted Cardinals roster.
Hopkins was a target machine during his time in Arizona, and now that he is gone, someone is going to have to eat up all those looks, and at first instinct, one would think Brown will be that guy. Although there is one other name to think about come draft time this fall, and his name is Rondale Moore.
Will Marquise Brown's Fantasy Value Skyrocket?
While Hopkins was off the field in 2022, Brown certainly capitalized both from a team standpoint and a fantasy perspective. D-hop missed eight games due to injury and suspension, and during that time, the man known as "Hollywood", registered double-digit fantasy points in seven of those eight contests.
The 25-year-old speedster also collected nine targets per game in six of the eight without Hopkins. He was clearly the primary weapon for QB Colt McCoy after starter Kyler Murray went down with an injury. With all that said, don't sleep on a youngster by the name of Moore.
The 22-year-old has gathered plenty of attention from fantasy owners due to his unique skill set as a receiver. However, he has had some injury issues early in his career and also hasn't been able to surpass the guys in front of him. But this year, with Hopkins gone, he will be battling Brown for that prestigious fantasy number one in Arizona. Don't get your hopes up though fantasy fans, let's remember, as of now, the quarterback that will be throwing both of them the ball is McCoy, and that doesn't exactly get anyone overly excited.
