Is DJ Moore Healthy or Injured? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Is DJ Moore hurt or healthy? Is DJ Moore playing in Week 15 fantasy football or is he injured? Read the latest Week 15 fantasy football injury updates.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore has been one of the most inconsistent players in fantasy football in 2022. If he is on your roster, managing him this season probably feels like being on a rollercoaster.

However, Moore, 25, has had a solid NFL career by most standards. Since coming into the league as a first-round draft pick in 2018, he has had 347 receptions, 4,918 receiving yards, and 18 touchdowns. He has also been extremely reliable in terms of health, missing only two games in a four-year span.

On Sunday, however, during the Panthers' 30-24 win over the Seahawks, Moore sustained an injury to his lower body, leaving his status for the fantasy football playoffs up in the air. This leaves managers wondering about his immediate availability heading into Week 15.

DJ Moore Injury Updates For Fantasy Football

Early on Monday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the injury was to Moore's ankle, and that an MRI would determine the severity. Later that day, fellow insider Adam Schefter reported the injury was actually a knee sprain, and that the WR was considered "day to day."

Perhaps the most relevant news for fantasy managers is that Schefter later went on to describe the injury as "nothing significant." This update certainly bodes well for his potential Week 15 availability versus Pittsburgh.

DJ Moore Injury News

In an impressive 30-24 Panthers victory over Seattle in Week 14, Moore was surprisingly uninvolved. Registering just six rushing yards on two attempts and zero catches on three targets, the Carolina receiver was nearly invisible.

Moore's .06 fantasy points were his lowest total of the season, and the first time since 2019 he didn't have at least one catch in a game.

Is DJ Moore Injured or Playing in Week 15 Fantasy Football?

Moore, if healthy, needs to get more involved in the offense if the Panthers are to make a true playoff run. Through 13 games, he has collected 46 receptions for 605 yards, rushed for 39 yards, and averaged 10.5 fantasy points per game.

He has had big games this season, most notably in Weeks 8 and 12, where he totaled 10 receptions for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and averaged 27.9 fantasy points. But there has also been his share of very unproductive weeks, most notably his no-show on Sunday.

If Moore is healthy against the Steelers in Week 15, start him as a WR3 and hope you get the "good" DJ. Pittsburgh is the second-worst defensive passing unit in the NFL, giving up 185 yards and 25.5 fantasy points per contest to the WR position. If the coaching staff decides to get him more involved, Moore has the potential to pile up a ton of fantasy points as the playoffs begin.
