FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/25/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back to another full day of fantasy baseball. We have 15 games today split up with eight in the afternoon and seven in the evening.

Outside of the Madison Bumbarner at the top of the salary, there is a nice mix of mid tier and value options on both slates. Oh ya and another matchup between high powered offenses at Coors Field. Fade at your own risk.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/25/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

New York Yankees vs. Ervin Santana (Twins)

It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Yankees who sit with a .500 record and rank 22nd in the league in total runs scored with 296. Things appear to have taken a turn for the better recently as they have won five of their last seven games while scoring a total of 41 runs. They get a great matchup vs. Ervin Santana who comes into this game with a 2-7 record, poor 4.83 ERA, and a 13.1% HR/FB rate. He has struggled against both left handed and right handed batters so  any of the Top six hitters are in play. If you can't fit the high owned Rockies in today the Yankees come with nice upside and a possible low ownership.

Seattle Mariners vs. Mike Leake (Cardinals)

The Mariners have been crushing right handed pitching this season as they rank 5th in wOBA(.336) and 4th in wRC+(114). They have been struggling recently losing 10 of their last 12 games but will be in a nice spot to break out tonight vs. the Cardinals and Mike Leake. Don't let the five wins fool you. Leake is not a great pitcher. He comes with low K upside(5.95 K/9) and has been hit extremely hard with a 36.2% hard hit contact rate. He has also given up 14 home runs in as many starts. Look for the Mariners to roster at least five left handed bats(Martin, Smith, Cano, Seager, Lind) with all making great plays.

Also Consider - Colorado Rockies vs. Shelby Miller

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Michael Pineda (SP,NYY) $7,900

As it sits right now the Yankees are the biggest favorite(-180) on the early slate putting Pineda in a great spot to pick up the win on Saturday. He gets a premium matchup vs. the Twins who rank 22nd in wOBA vs. right handed pitching and strike out over 22% of the time as a team. Pineda has seen his share of struggles but has been much better recently with a 3.38 ERA and high 10.88 K/9 rate. The park isn't great but Yankee stadium is more favorable to left handed bats and the Twins have limited power from the left side.

Kenta Maeda (SP,LAD) $8,600

Maeda makes a nice play tonight in a matchup vs. the Pirates who have been struggling having lost eight of their last 10 games. Maeda has been impressive in his rookie season recording six wins with a low 2.64 ERA and 8.71 K/9 rate. He has recorded 35+ FanDuel points in five straight games and will have a nice opportunity to extend that streak as the Dodgers enter this game as a -135 favorite. He comes with a nice floor for cash games and is cheap for GPP's that you can load up on bats.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Wilson Contreras (C,CHC) $2,700

It's hard to ignore the start Contreras i s having since coming in to replace Kyle Schwarber. He is coming off a two hit night where he blasted his second home run of year and now has a hit in all six games he has played. He is going to get a ton of playing time as the Cubs will be using him at first and possibly outfield as well. Until the price get over $3K he is great play in any format.

Eric Hosmer (1B,KC) $3,000

Hosmer has struggled in June hitting just .236 which has brought his salary down to its lowest point in awhile. Buy low before he is back in the mid $3K-$K range. He provides value with his ability to get on base and score runs but can also provide a nice power boost as he has already hit 12 this season and has an above average 35.7% hard hit contact rate.

Devon Travis (2B,TOR) $3,200

After a short experiment with Travis at leadoff on Wednesday, he is back in the eight hole where he has seen the most success. The spot in the order isn't ideal but Travis is hitting well lately with six multi hit games in his last nine played. He is safe in all formats.

Manny Machado (SS,BAL) $3,900

Machado made his return from suspension and picked up right where he left off with two hits including a solo home run. His price has once again fallen below the $4K mark making it a great time to buy. The Orioles will be playing a double header on Saturday and Machado is in play for both.

Yangervis Solarte (3B,SD) $2,700

Pretty easy call here if you aren't paying up for the top options. Solarte comes at a terrific price for a cleanup hitter who gets a positive park shift. He is coming off a three hit night on Friday and has hits in five of his last six games. The upside is limited as the Padres just don't score many runs but he makes a great punt play to load up elsewhere.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Charlie Blackmon (OF,COL) $4,400

It will be hard to get away from the Rockies hitters today. Not only is the game in Coors Field but the Rockies will also face gas can Shelby Miller. Sure he had a good start last time out but is only striking out six batters per nine and has allowed 10 home runs in 11 starts. Blackmon hits leadoff giving him added value and tons of opportunities to score fantasy points. Exactly what we are looking for in a high priced option.

Nelson Cruz (OF,SEA) $3,600

The price is just to cheap for the upside. For most of the season he has been in the $4K+ range and has produced like an elite option. He is hitting .285 to this point with 18 HR, 48 RBI and 43 runs scored which gives him an impressive 142 wRC+. He is striking out almost 30% of the time in June which has resulted in a lower .264 average but he has still provided the power with eight long balls. At a mid $3K price tag, he is safe in all formats.

Yasiel Puig (OF,LAD) $2,500

Puig has returned from the disabled list on Tuesday and has recorded a hit in all three games including back to back multi hit games. He will be in a nice spot to extend that streak on Saturday as he will face Jeff Locke. At $2,500 it won't take much for Puig to again blow his salary out of the water.
