FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/15/17): MLB DFS Advice

Who's ready to get rowdy? Welcome to Saturday DFS, RotoBallers. Today we have a full plate of baseball, split between a 10-game Early Slate and a five-game Main Slate. Mother Nature looks to be fairly cooperative, with only the CWS-MIN game in Minneapolis looking like a serious storm risk for the second consecutive day. There is also a few strong forecasted winds that could give our hitters a huge boost in reaching the stands, such as the games in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Cincinnati. So keep that in mind when paying up for your pitchers!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/15/17. I am not one to waste time nor insult someone's intelligence. I won't tell you that Mike Trout and Chris Sale are good plays today, because they are good plays everyday. Instead I will focus on where you can scrape up value in order to afford rostering Mike Trout and Chris Sale- whom you know are good plays today because you are an adult and have watched baseball at least once in your life. Enjoy the read and good luck out there today!

You can read our DraftKings and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @RowdyRotoJB

Offensive Stacks

Chicago Cubs versus Tyler Glasnow

Glasnow will be a good pitcher one day, but today is not that day. In his first start of 2017, he gave up five ER and walked four in just 1 2/3 IP. Yikes. His pitching coach stated that for Saturday's game he will be using a new pitch delivery, so I assume another rough outing as he searches for a new look. As I mentioned earlier, there are some gnarly winds out there today, and the forecasts currently show 20 mph to dead center at Wrigley. The Cubs are hungry, and they are going to eat. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant are must-haves if you can afford their above-4K price tags, but Kyle Schwarber, Addison Russell, and Willson Contreras are more than affordable.

Also Consider: Seattle Mariners versus Andrew Cashner

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Patrick Corbin at LAD ($5,500)

This is one hell of a value. Corbin has only allowed two ER in 10 IP this season, and is coming off a six-inning shutout of the defending American League champions. The strikeouts havn't returned post-Tommy John surgery, but they will come, and Saturday's matchup could be the one that brings them out. It's no secret the Dodgers struggle against LHP, and they currently sit at 23rd in the league in OPS against southpaws. Plus they just placed Franklin Gutierrez on the 10-day DL. Corbin is a great GPP option, plus leaves you a ton of salary to afford them Cubbies.

Sean Manaea vs HOU ($7,000)

Another great price tag, Manaea has the ceiling to put up some big strikeout numbers against the Astros. In his last start he whiffed 10 Rangers, but gave up five ER. Last season, he held a 1.69 ERA against the 'Stros, and a 3.02 ERA at the Colisuem. Houston is middle of the road in runs scored against LHP, but have the fourth-most strikeouts versus southpaws in 2017. Strictly a GPP option due to the potential to serve up another five-burger, Manaea possesses the stuff to win you a tournament today.

Also Consider: Tanner Roark vs PHI ($8,600); Tyler Chatwood @ SFG ($7,200)

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Christian Vazquez - C, vs TBR ($2,600)

Vazquez has started the 2017 season with five hits in just eight AB, with three going for extra bases. If he gets the nod over Sandy Leon today, he could be apart of a high-scoring affair against Jake Odorizzi, who owned a 5.40 ERA versus the Red Sox last year and has served up three long balls in 12 innings in 2017.

Also Consider: Travis d'Arnaud - C, at MIA ($3,200)

Jesus Aguilar - 1B, at CIN ($2,200)

It seems like it's just a good idea to play whatever first baseman the Brewers are starting. On days when a southpaw is on the mound, Aguilar is the guy. So far in 2017 he is 5-9 with a double and two RBI versus LHP. Brandon Finnegan failed to make it past two innings last time out after walking five, so Aguilar has a very high on-base potential, making him a nice Cash/Salary relief option.

Also Consider: Brandon Belt - 1B, vs COL ($2,900)

Scooter Gennett - 2B, vs MIL ($2,700)

The Reds offense is on fire, and Gennett is no exception. Out of the entire slate, he owns the second most FPPG at the keystone position, with three HR and 8 RBI. He took a seat on the bench last night with a LHP on the mound, but now gets a matchup with Zach Davies who has been atrocious in 2017.

Also Consider: Ben Zobrist - 2B, vs PIT ($2,900)

Kyle Seager - 3B, vs TEX ($3,600)

As you saw in the "Stacks" portion, Andrew Cashner is starting today for the Rangers. I don't care what uniform he is wearing this year, I am going to continue to target him when he is on the mound. Cashner was particularly awful against LHB last year, which is why I am rolling out Seager today despite his slow start. For his career, he is 3-8 with a HR against Cashner.

Also Consider: Jake Lamb - 3B, at LAD ($3,700)

Trevor Story - SS, at SFG ($3,400)

He finally got the monkey off his back and hit his first HR of 2017, coming off Madison Bumgarner. The seal has been broken! Story's price won't be this low for the majority of the year, so take advantage tonight especially against another LHP, Matt Moore.

Also Consider: Xander Bogaerts- SS, vs TBR ($3,500)

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Andrew Benintendi - OF, vs TBR ($3,300)

Even though the fantasy stat line doesn't look overly sexy, Benintendo 64 has been as advertised in 2017. He has 10 hits in 38 AB, and has only struck out four times. He is certainly going to become an OBP monster, and when he faces the right pitchers, he's going to put some balls out past Pesky Pole. Jake Odorizzi is certainly the right pitcher to target. The ceiling isn't overly high here, but the floor is certainly high enough to warrant a spot in your cash lines.

Kyle Schwarber - OF, vs PIT ($3,400)

You have to do it. There's no way you can leave Schwarbs out of your lineups today. His price is ridiculously low considering FanDuel favors the long ball so much. In my opinion he has the highest chances on the team to go yard today, and will probably be hitting atop the lineup again, ensuring he scores on the off-chance his ball doesn't land in Lake Michigan. (disclaimer: I am not a geography guru so excuse me if Wrigley Field does not in fact face towards the lake)

Stephen Piscotty- OF, at NYY ($3,200)

It looks as if Piscotty is finally coming around in 2017. Last year he was almost a lock in DFS whenever facing a southpaw, and a matchup with C.C. Sabathia should rekindle that flame. The .952 OPS against LHP in 2016 shows the potential for a bomb today in friendly Yankee Stadium. Piscotty makes a very nice mini-stack with Dexter Fowler and/or Aledmys Diaz.

Also Consider: Manuel Margot - OF, at ATL ($3,100) and Yasiel Puig - OF, vs LAD ($3,100)
