DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/2/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on September 2, 2023. Josh's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We had another massive slate on Friday, followed by this larger-than-usual Saturday main slate. That gives us 11 games for the main slates on both sites.

This article contains my picks for the 11-game main slate on Saturday, September 2, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:10 PM ET.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Blake Snell, SD vs. SF ($11,300 DK, $10,600 FD)

Blake Snell is among the few National League pitchers in the discussion for the Cy Young award this season. On Saturday, Snell faces the San Francisco Giants. The Giants have the second-highest strikeout rate against left-handed pitching in the past month. San Francisco recorded a decent team OPS and wOBA in the past month against lefties, but Snell has been on another level. Snell is among the most expensive plays at the position, but he is well worth the price tag.

Yusei Kikuchi, TOR at COL ($7,500 DK, $8,800 FD)

I understand this is a risky pick, and I generally avoid pitchers playing at Coors Field for DFS, but Yusei Kikuchi may be a solid play. Kikuchi and the visiting Toronto Blue Jays face the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. The Rockies have the fourth-highest strikeout rate and third-lowest OPS against left-handed pitching since August 1. If you can overlook the venue, Kikuchi could have success.

Others to consider: Luis Severino ($5,800 DK, $7,500 FD) at HOU

Luis Severino has looked great in his last two starts, but he was historically bad in his previous outings. If you'd like to spend as little on pitching as possible, you can use him in this spot, but proceed cautiously.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Mookie Betts - 2B/OF, LAD vs. ATL ($6,800 DK, $4,500 FD)

Mookie Betts has been one of the best players in baseball this season and should be in the MVP conversation when the season wraps up. Betts is slashing .315/.409/.619 with 38 home runs, 116 runs, and 98 RBI. Betts has already set a new career-high in home runs and has his third-most RBI with a month left in the season. Betts faces Bryce Elder of the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. Against Elder, Betts is 2-for-3 (.667) with a home run. I expect Betts to continue his monster season in this matchup.

Wilmer Flores - 1B, SF at SD ($3,800 DK, $3,000 FD)

Wilmer Flores faces one of the Cy Young frontrunners in Blake Snell on Saturday, but Flores has been decent against him. In his career against Snell, Flores has hit 6-for-19 (.315), and he very well could improve those numbers on Saturday. Flores is a decent value pick in this large main slate.

Christian Vazquez - C, MIN at TEX ($2,700 DK, $2,100 FD)

If Wilmer Flores was a value pick, Christian Vazquez is my super value pick. Vazquez faces Jordan Montgomery of the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Against Montgomery, Vazquez has gone 7-for-24 (.292) with three home runs and four RBI. If you're looking for a cheap pick with a real chance to go yard, Vazquez would be my choice on Saturday.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF, ATL at LAD ($6,900 DK, $4,900 FD)

Ronald Acuna Jr. eclipsed the elusive 30 home runs and 60 stolen bases mark against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he likely isn't finished with them yet. Acuna is an excellent pick daily, especially against the Dodgers projected starter Emmet Sheehan. Sheehan has a 5.63 ERA and 5.82 xFIP in 38 1/3 innings this season. Acuna should feast in this matchup.

Christian Yelich - OF, MIL vs. PHI ($5,200 DK, $3,700 FD)

Christian Yelich is not the player he once was during his historic MVP seasons, but he is still a decent hitter at this point in his career. Yelich faces Aaron Nola of the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Against Nola, Yelich is 10-for-33 (.303) with a home run and five RBI. The Brewers outfielder should have a good game in this matchup.

Robbie Grossman - OF, MIN at TEX ($3,000 DK, $2,500 FD)

Robbie Grossman faces Texas Rangers starter Jordan Montgomery on Saturday. In his career against Montgomery, Grossman is 8-for-20 (.400) with three RBI. Grossman is a good value pick for Saturday's main slate, allowing you to pay up for better players at different positions.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Atlanta Braves vs. Emmet Sheehan

The Los Angeles Dodgers starter has yet to be announced, but DraftKings and FanDuel project the starter to be Emmet Sheehan. Sheehan had a decent start to his career with seven innings of no-hit ball in his debut but has fallen since. The Atlanta Braves are an offensive juggernaut yet again. The Braves have taken the first two games of the series against the Dodgers, putting up more than five runs in both games. You should expect that trend to continue on Saturday.

Also consider: Minnesota Twins vs. Jordan Montgomery
