DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/3/24): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Cody Bellinger - fantasy baseball draft sleepers MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on April 3, 2024. Mike Barner's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Wednesday brings a heavy dose of day baseball. That leaves us with a limited five-game evening slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel. There is some rain in the forecast for a few games, making this an especially tricky slate.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/3/2024. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cristian Javier vs. Blue Jays ($8,800 DraftKings; $9,300 FanDuel)

After posting a 33.2 percent strikeout rate in 2022, Javier saw that mark plummet to 23.1 percent last season. It was one of the main reasons why he disappointed with a 4.56 ERA and a 4.58 FIP. He did start off this season on a high note, throwing six shutout innings against the Yankees. Maybe the most encouraging part of his stat line was the six strikeouts. A favorable matchup awaits him against the Blue Jays, who have scored two runs or fewer in four of their six games.

Mitch Keller vs. Nationals ($8,200 DraftKings; $8,600 FanDuel)

Despite an ideal matchup against the Marlins in Miami, Keller did not pitch well in his first start of the season. He allowed seven runs (five earned) across 5.2 innings while striking out only three batters. He missed plenty of bats last season, finishing with a 25.5 percent strikeout rate. He has also posted a FIP of 3.88 or lower in both of the last two seasons. Look for him to have a better performance when he takes on the Nationals, who have scored 18 runs over their first four games.

Adrian Houser vs. Tigers ($7,200 DraftKings; $8,200 FanDuel)

The Tigers had plenty of problems on offense last season. They finished with the third-worst OPS in baseball, which contributed to them scoring the third-fewest runs. They also struck out the ninth-most times. Their offense has struggled out of the gate, scoring 16 runs over their first four games. This could be an ideal matchup to take a chance on Houser at his cheaper salary. Strikeouts are not his forte, but he did have a 4.12 ERA and a 3.99 FIP with the Brewers last season.

Also consider: Tyler Glasnow vs. SF

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Oneil Cruz - SS, PIT vs. Trevor Williams ($5,300 DK; $3,500 FD)

Williams is usually someone to attack in DFS. He had a 1.60 WHIP last season, which contributed to his 5.55 ERA and 5.98 FIP. For his career, he has a 4.48 ERA and a 4.66 FIP. One of the top players on the Pirates who could exploit this matchup is Cruz, who has a great combination of speed and power. Through his first five games, he is 6-for-19 at the plate with a home run and five runs scored.

Nico Hoerner - 2B, CHC vs. Cal Quantrill ($5,200 DK; $2,900 FD)

The Cubs exploded for 12 runs against the Rockies on Tuesday. Kyle Freeland started, giving up seven runs over 3.1 innings. Next up is another favorable matchup versus Quantrill. In his first outing of the season, he yielded five runs over five innings against the Diamondbacks. Hoerner is off to a slow start with a .466 OPS, but this could be just the matchup that he needs to get back on track.

Christopher Morel – 2B/3B/OF, CHC vs. Cal Quantrill ($4,700 DK; $3,400 FD)

Unlike Hoerner, Morel is off to a great start. He has started off the season with a five-game hitting streak, hitting 8-for-21 with two home runs and a triple. His power prowess is nothing new, given that he hit 26 home runs across just 107 games last season.

Also consider: Jose Altuve, CJ Abrams

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cody Bellinger - 1B/OF, CHC vs. Cal Quantrill ($5,700 DK; $3,400 FD)

Staying with the Cubs, Bellinger is one of the top outfielders to consider for this slate. He went deep Tuesday, marking his first home run of the season. After posting a .902 OPS at Wrigley Field last season, it should help his cause that he will be facing Quantrill at home.

Bryan Reynolds - OF, PIT vs. Trevor Williams ($5,200 DK; $3,600 FD)

The Pirates are off to a 5-0 start. Their lineup has led the way, scoring 39 total runs. Reynolds has been right in the thick of the action, batting 8-for-24 with a home run, three doubles, and eight RBI. A favorable matchup against Williams leaves him with an excellent opportunity to add to his hot start.

Seiya Suzuki - OF, CHC vs. Cal Quantrill ($4,600 DK; $3,200 FD)

Like Bellinger, Suzuki also hit his first home run of the season Tuesday. He showed plenty of power last season, finishing with a .200 ISO. He also proved to have a good eye at the plate, recording a 22.3 percent strikeout rate and a 10.1 percent walk rate. Expect him to be an especially tough out for Quantrill, who only had a 13.1 percent strikeout rate last season.

Also consider: Kyle Tucker, Starling Marte
