DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (7/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back for another full day of fantasy baseball. This will be the last day for DFS baseball before the All Star break that will start on Monday. All 30 teams are in action today with a nice selection of pitching options from the top tier down. There are some good storyline's today starting with the series finale at Coors Field that should provide ample offense. The other big story is David Price facing the Rays for a third time this season. His old team has beat up on him this year scoring 12 earned runs in the first two starts. To close out the first half we have a nice Sunday Night baseball matchup between the Diamondbacks and Giants. It is a classic battle between an elite pitcher(Madison Bumgarner) and an elite offense(D Backs rank #1 vs. LH pitching). It will be can't miss baseball!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Detroit Tigers vs. R.A Dickey (Jays)

Some guys can hit the knuckleball and some guy can't. The Tigers definitely can. There are multiple hitters who have enjoyed success vs. Dickey in the past and there is no reason to believe it won't continue today. Kinsler(8 for 23 with 3 HR and only 1 K vs. Dickey), Cabrera(8 for 30 with 2 HR vs. Dickey), Castellanos(4 for 13 with 1 HR vs. Dickey) and Victor Martinez(5 for 19 vs. Dickey) make a great core stack today.

Colorado Rockies vs. Zach Eflin (Phillies)

Anytime the Rockies are at home they can be targeted for stacks. You don't need to get sneaky today. They get a matchup vs. Zach Eflin who has been good when facing weaker offensive teams in pitchers park. His two starts in tough environments(@TOR, @ARI) have led to 11 earned runs against and now will face a powerful team in the worst environment for pitchers. Load up on Rockies today.

Baltimore Orioles Top of the Order vs. Tim Lincecum (Angels)

The Orioles come in to today ranked #2 in wOBA(.348) and wRC+(114) vs. right handed pitchers. They are in a great spot to add to those numbers vs. the former two time CY Young award winner, Tim Lincecum. He is nowhere near that form these days and is barely holding onto his new job with the Angels. He has given up four or more earned runs in three straight starts and has not made it out of the 5th inning. Look for the O's to jump on him early and often.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Carlos Carrasco (SP, CLE) $11,600

The top pitching option on the slate when considering salary. He is $1,400 cheaper than Bumgarner and has a much better matchup vs. the Yankees who rank 23rd in wOBA(.307) vs. right handed pitching. Carrasco has been red hot lately winning three straight starts limiting opponents to one earned run or less in each. He has also struck out 26 over those three starts while walking just six. He is safe in all formats.

Junior Guerra (SP, MIL) $9,400

It is possible to fit Guerra in with Carrasco today to form a very strong combination of pitchers who have been red hot over the past few weeks. Guerra, like Carrasco, is coming into Sunday having won three straight starts. He has struck out 22 batters over those three starts to bring his strikeout rate up to 7.78 K/9 for the season. The matchup isn't ideal as the Cardinals rank 3rd in wOBA vs. right handed pitching but get them at the right time as the Cards have fallen to 3rd in the National League Central Division.

Also Consider - A.J. Griffin (SP, TEX) $7,000

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Wilson Contreras (C, CHC) $4,000

He is one of the few players on DraftKings that gets added value with multi position eligibility.  He has been very impressive since being called up slashing .301/.386/.589 with 5 HR, 14 RBI and a 158 wRC+. He comes at a nice discount from the top options and will face Jon Niese who has been pitching to a 7.33 ERA over his past five starts with a 30% HR/FB rate.

Miguel Cabrera (1B, DET) $4,100

There are a ton of great options at first base if you are willing to pay up for them which is tough if you are want a top pitcher. Take the discount and roll with Miggy who comes in as the 16th most expensive option. He has gone 8 for 30 career vs. Dickey with two home runs and a .353 wOBA.

Yangervis Solarte (2B, SD) $4,000

A nice mid tier option who comes with multi position eligibility and hits cleanup for the Padres. He comes into this matchup red hot slashing .400/.459/.691 over the last two weeks including three home runs in his last six games. Solarte will go up against Kenta Maeda who has been slowly regressing and has given up four earned runs in two of his last three starts.

Francisco Lindor (SS, CLE) $3,900

When looking at salary trends, Lindor stands out as a great buy low candidate who has seen his price drop over $1,000 since the end of June. Even with the struggles he is still slashing .300/.358/.453 on the season and comes with a nice combination of power(10 HR) and speed(13 SB).

Todd Frazier (3B, CWS) $4,100

He was at it once again on Saturday with another home run and is now slashing .324/.368/.676 over the past two weeks with four long balls and a 169 wRC+. Ride the hot streak as he will be facing Mike Foltynewicz who has given up seven earned runs(5 HR) in his last two starts.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Mark Trumbo (OF, BAL) $5,300

If you are paying up for one big outfield bat today you can't go wrong with Trumbo. He comes into Sunday with a seven game hit streak and has shits in 12 of his last 13 games where he is slashing .327/.373/.709 and has added six home runs. He gets a great matchup vs. Tim Lincecum and while you would think to use Trumbo vs. southpaws he actually has much stronger splits(.402 wOBA/151 wRC+) vs. right handed pitchers.

Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) $4,700

Looking at all factors Nelson Cruz is one of the top overalls plays, regardless of position, on Sunday. He comes in 15th in salary at his position and most likely will be low owned due to the matchup vs. a right handed pitcher. While he does have a much better average vs. lefties he has still hit 11 of his 23 home runs vs. right handed pitching for an above average 120 wRC+. He will also be facing gas can Chris Young who has surrendered 13 home runs in his last six starts.

Matt Kemp (OF, SD) $3,300

Looking at all of the names in the mid to low $3K range, Kemp stands out as the most talented player by far. He is currently under priced with his lowest salary since the 18th of June. He is lacking the power upside he has shown earlier in the year but is still hitting in a great spot in the order and will get a ton of opportunities to score fantasy points. Pairing him with Solarte is a low cosst, high upside start to lineup where you can pay up for pitching.
