DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/15/16): MLB DFS Advice

Barry Leonard Jr. highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 5/15/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings MLB DFS lineups.

A full Sunday slate once again brings a day of different DraftKings contests using either some or all of the games. Just be sure to keep an eye on the weather before finalizing your lineups, as some of the country could experience some more rain.

As always, there are countless lineup options available. Teams like Baltimore and Colorado enjoy playing in hitter-friendly parks and always provide some top DFS targets.

As for pitchers, some expensive options such as Jose Fernandez, Felix Hernandez, and Jon Lester will be in action. However, none of them really has the best matchup, making some cheaper targets a better option.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/15/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Matt Cain (RHP)

San Francisco's Matt Cain is nowhere near the dominant pitcher he was just a few seasons ago. He enters today with a record of 0-5 and an ERA of 6.69. He's likely in danger of losing his spot in the starting lineup if he doesn't show improvement. The Diamondbacks have some hitters who make for great plays against Cain today. Jake Lamb makes a good option as a left-hander. Righties Chris Owings and Paul Goldschmidt are also strong plays.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Michael Fulmer (RHP)

The Orioles often make for a good lineup stack, especially when playing at home. Today they will get Michael Fulmer who, despite a 2-1 record, has an ERA of 6.00 and has given up a total of eight earned runs over his last two starts. No current Oriole has faced Fulmer, but lefty Chris Davis makes for a good play. Manny Machado, Adam Jones, and Mark Trumbo are also enticing options today.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Trevor Bauer, CLE vs. MIN - $7,700

Bauer has made three starts so far this season and has posted a 3-0 record with an ERA of 3.86. He's appeared in a total of nine games, working as a reliever as well. Now in the rotation, the right-hander was sharp in his last outing, throwing severn scoreless innings and striking out seven in a win at Houston. Today he'll get a Minnesota lineup that has struggled to hit the ball this year. Bauer makes for a quality starter today, particularly in tournaments.

Adam Morgan, PHI vs. CIN - $5,500

Another Philadelphia pitcher makes for a good start at home against the Reds. This time it's Adam Morgan. He's picked up one win in three starts this year and has an ERA of 3.94. He's not a slam-dunk option today, but he pitched well in his last start, allowing just four hits and one run to the Braves. He's not going to rack up a ton of strikeouts, but is a good candidate to pick up a win while allowing less than three runs.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Yadier Molina, STL at LAD - $3,200

The verteran catcher is proving to be a good fantasy selection thanks to his high average. Don't expect a long ball form him, but he'll still provide very good numbers for a daily fantasy lineup. If you are one of those players who like to reserve a few bats for the primetime game, then Molina make for a good option.

First Base (1B)

Chris Davis, BAL vs. DET - $5,100

Davis gets a favorable matchup today against righty Michael Fulmer. It's pretty much the same old story with Davis. His batting average is a drain on season fantasy teams, but his ability to hit homers and drive in runs makes him great for a daily play.

Second Base (2B)

Joe Panik, SF at ARI - $4,100

Panik is over his injury and is back to being a very solid producer hitting in the No. 2 spot in San Francisco's potent lineup. He's always been a good source of average and runs and he's shown a power outburst in recent games. Panik is a steady second base fantasy option and that should hold true today.

Shortstop (SS)

Xander Bogaerts, BOS vs. HOU - $4,600

There's some value at shortstop today, but go ahead and spend a bit on the position. Boston's Xander Bogaerts has had a hot start to the season and hasn't cooled down yet. He enters today with a nine-game hitting streak and makes for one of the best options at shortstop on a daily basis.

Third Base (3B)

Nolan Arenado, COL vs. NYM - $5,100

If you go the suggested strategy above of picking lower-priced pitchers you'll be able to spend cap space on some big bats. Hitting for both power and average, Arenado leads the National League in home runs. He's been a major producer this year for fantasy owners, especially when playing at home. He's at Coors today, so be sure to get him into your daily lineup.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Steven Souza, TB vs. OAK - $3,600

Souza continues to be a fairly cheap source of production for players on DraftKings. He won't hit for a high average, and he'll strike out a lot, but he's got the potential to hit for power and drive in runs. the other nice thing about Souza is the fact that he's usually overlooked by other fantasy players.

Yasmany Tomas, ARI vs. SF - $3,500

Tomas makes for a good option today against a struggling Matt Cain. None of the outfielder's numbers will really stand out to you, but he can provide some solid production for a great price. He's cooled down lately, but recently had a six-game hit streak. What makes Tomas a good option today is his potential for a big day for a low price with a favorable matchup.

Adam Jones, BAL vs. DET - $4,300

Jones is still struggling with a lower-than-normal average, but he's really heated up over the past week. The outfielder has started to look like his self and still has a very favorable spot in a great Baltimore lineup. With plenty of opportunities to produce, Jones is a great target, especially with a price tag that's lower than it really could be if he were producing up to his ability at the moment.
