DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

The weather forced the cancellation and delay of a few games Saturday, but today looks to be much better. 15 games are scheduled throughout the afternoon, culminating with the Tigers and Yankees playing in primetime.

Several aces will be on the bump today, making it imperative that you find some value picks elsewhere in your lineup if you hope to spend big money on a pitcher. If you choose, however, to look for value on the mound, there will be plenty of big-time hitters to spend your money on.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

New York Yankees vs. Justin Verlander (RHP)

Justin Verlander gave up three runs in his first start this season and hasn’t had his dominant stuff for the last few years. The Yankees have a lot of left-handed bats on the roster that could get ready to tee off on him. If you’re looking to do a stack today, check out guys like Jacoby Ellsbury, Didi Gregorius and Brent Gardner. Mark Teixeira has been hitting well so far, but be cautious of his lifetime .083 average against Verlander.

San Francisco Giants vs. Scott Kazmir (LHP)

Although Scott Kazmir looked good in his first start, it was against the lowly Padres. San Francisco presents a much better lineup, and Kazmir struggled on the road last season. Buster Posey, Hunter Pence, and Matt Duffy are all in play for fantasy lineups today.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Edinson Volquez, KC vs. MIN - $7,300

The Twins have struggled out of the gate this season, and don’t feature a lot of firepower in the lineup. Volquez had a strong first start and will look to follow that up today. Current Twins hitters have just a combined .216 lifetime average against the righty.

Matt Harvey, NYM vs. PHI - $11,900

What better way to bounce back from a rough start than a start against one of the worst offenses in the league. The combination of being at home, paired with an extremely favorable matchup with the Phillies, makes Harvey a top pitcher to look at for DFS lineups today.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Carlos Ruiz, PHI at NYM - $2,500

With Cameron Rupp getting the nod behind the plate Saturday, it's likely that Ruiz will be catching for the Phillies today. If he is, then he makes for a great play for your lineup. He's been hitting well, and will cost you next to nothing. It could be tough sledding against Matt Harvey, but that should only keep his ownership down. Of course, if you choose Harvey as your pitcher you'll want to go a different direction. Otherwise, consider Ruiz a sleeper pick for today.

First Base (1B)

Brandon Belt, SF vs. LAD - $4,000

Don’t let the matchup with fellow lefty Scott Kazmir scare you away from Belt today. In six career at-bats, Belt has gone yard twice and owns a .333 average against the Dodger southpaw. Hitting in the middle of a good San Francisco lineup, Belt is a strong DFS play.

Second Base (2B)

Jonathan Schoop, BAL vs. TB - $3,500

Schoop had a strong spring and he’s continued it into the start of the regular season. He’s the everyday second baseman for the O’s this season and has so far taken advantage of his opportunity. You can’t go wrong with his price tag, so use him with confidence.

Shortstop (SS)

Jean Segura, ARI vs. CHC - $3,500

This one is obvious, but you might as well continue riding him while he’s hot. Segura has been blazing to start the season, contributing in all categories. His price tag has risen, but the price is still unbelievable for the production he's put up thus far. Just know that when you select him, you definitely won’t be alone.

Third Base (3B)

Josh Donaldson, TOR vs. BOS - $5,100

This one will defiantly cost you cap space, but Donaldson has been red-hot to start the season. The calf issue that bothered him earlier in the week seems to be healed, as he hit a grand slam in Friday’s game after it was unclear if he’d play. He's the most expensive third basemen on the board today, but the numbers certainly prove to be worth it.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Angel Pagan, SF vs. LAD - $3,500

Pagan has hit at both the top and bottom of San Francisco’s lineup so far this seaosn. He’s bene successful in both spots, and is a great sleeper pick if you are looking to spend big on some other offensive studs today. Pagan doesn’t have great power, but he’s got speed and makes good contact. He’ll get a lefty in Scott Kazmir today, meaning he will be hitting from his strong side, the right side Last season, he hit .318 against left-handed pitching.

Mark Trumbo, BAL vs. TB - $3,800

Sure, this is another one that’s become obvious, but as long as his salary hovers at or just below the $4,000 mark, he’ll be a great play for DFS lineups. He’s only faced today’s starter twice, and is hitless against him, but don’t let that bother you. Trumbo is in a good lineup in a ballpark that’s great for hitters.

Joey Rickard, BAL vs. TB- $3,300

Another cheap Baltimore hitter to consider today is Joey Rickard. He's enjoyed a very successful start to his MLB career, and has now been placed at the top of a potent Orioles lineup. There's likely to be some bumps in the road, but his current pace of production warrants a start in daily lineups. As long as he stays at the top spot in the lineup, he should carry some good fantasy value. Ride him while he's hot.
