Davis Schneider is a top fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 11 (2024). Fantasy baseball managers should add Schneider as a waiver wire free agent in most leagues.

ANALYSIS: Davis Schneider belted 21 home runs at Triple-A last season before the Blue Jays called him up in August and he went on to hit eight more in the majors. Over 35 games (116 AB) in 2023, Schneider collected 21 XBH in all on a 17.8% Barrel%. This season, the right-handed hitter still has a strong 14.2% Barrel%, but has increased his Contact% from 64.9% to 74.1% and lowered his SwStr% from 13.7% to 10.4%. It hasn't translated to a better average (.276 vs .245), but should back up his power numbers.

The 25-year-old has a couple other things working in his favor as well, including his walk rate (12.7%) and the fact that he is currently hitting atop the Blue Jays lineup. This should result in additional at-bats for Schneider and run-scoring opportunities. He's not fleet of foot, but has chipped in three stolen bases thus far, too. Eligibility at both 2B and OF in Yahoo leagues makes him even more attractive as a waiver wire addition, and the slugger is available to add in almost 60% of leagues.
