BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE3
ANALYSIS: At the end of every season, successful fantasy managers brag to fellow league members about that one waiver wire pickup that made them the league champion. The one guy no one else saw coming that they were smart enough (or lucky in many cases) to snag before anyone else. This year, that player might just be Buffalo Bills tight end, Dalton Kincaid.
The rookie phenom and 2023 first-round pick exploded onto the fantasy football landscape in Week 7, after teammate and fellow TE Dawson Knox was injured and subsequently sidelined. He instantly became a favorite of quarterback Josh Allen and is now the automatic second look for the signal-caller behind star wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
In the last five games, since he became a primary part of the offensive attack in Buffalo, Kincaid is averaging 6.8 receptions, 7.8 targets, and 63.6 yards per game and has scored two touchdowns. At the most scarce position in fantasy, the 24-year-old has become a must-start across all leagues.
What makes Kincaid even more attractive to fantasy owners this season is that the Bills are once again primarily a passing offense. They have struggled for years to find a consistent running game, with 2023 being no exception. Add into the mix that finding a tight end whose name isn't Travis Kelce or T.J. Hockenson who can produce at high levels is near impossible, it makes the young rising star and Las Vegas native a keeper and a must-play until further notice.
In Week 12, Buffalo faces a Philadelphia secondary that has proven to be vulnerable, giving up the seventh-most points to the tight end position. In a game script that should feature a plethora of scoring, Allen will throw and throw often, and Kincaid will likely be the beneficiary by registering another monster output for fantasy managers.
