PROSPECT: Bryan Woo, SP, Seattle Mariners
ANALYSIS: Seattle Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo is being called up to make his MLB debut on Saturday against the Texas Rangers. The Mariners decided to promote Woo from Double-A Arkansas after Marco Gonzales (forearm) was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left forearm strain.
Woo has been looking fantastic with Double-A Arkansas this season. He holds a 2.05 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 59:12 K: BB ratio over nine starts so far. The 23-year-old wasn't projected to pitch in the majors until 2024, but things change. He could very well be a valuable fantasy asset, assuming he stays up with Seattle.
VERDICT: Woo is Seattle's sixth-ranked prospect per MLB Pipeline, so he needs to be added off the waiver wire for fantasy managers searching for pitching in leagues where he's still available.
