BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: The Commanders' top running back has been one of fantasy football's quiet revelations this year. After being taken in the eighth round on average in 12-team leagues, Brian Robinson Jr. has plowed his way to RB6 through 10 weeks. He has two weekly RB1 finishes and only one outside the top 30.
Last week against the Seahawks, Robinson was held in check on the ground but dolled out significant damage through the air, catching six passes for 119 yards and a score. It marked a career-high in receiving yards, besting his previous high of 42 back in Week 2.
Despite his production, Robinson is not viewed as an RB1 in most fantasy circles. Why is that? Other than the fact that he is one of the least "flashy" backs in the NFL, he is also 14th in touches (15.4/game) and 19th in rushing yards (48.5/game). However, Robinson continues to reward managers who roll him out every week.
Despite not being known as a great receiving back, this is an area of his game that he has expanded significantly this season. The former Alabama star is first among running backs in yards per reception (12.8) and sixth in yards per route run (1.83).
He now faces the New York Giants, who may be the most down bad team in the NFL at the moment. The Dallas Cowboys just hung 49 on this defense, including 168 yards on the ground at 5.1 per carry. Josh Jacobs shredded them the week prior for 98 yards and two scores. Robinson did struggle against this defense only a few weeks ago, but this is a different Giants team that has been allowing a lot of big plays. Robinson is a high-end RB2 for Week 11.
