ANALYSIS: Fantasy managers should strongly consider adding Brandin Cooks off the waiver wire after his Week 1 performance, where he posted four catches on seven targets for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Browns on Sunday.
While the yardage might seem modest, the key takeaway is his involvement in the Cowboys' offense. Cooks was targeted seven times, showing that he is a trusted option for Dallas in the passing game. His ability to find the end zone only boosts his fantasy value, especially in a Cowboys offense that can create scoring opportunities.
With tight end Jake Ferguson dealing with an MCL sprain that could sideline him for some time, Cooks may see even more targets as the team looks to shift additional passing volume to their wide receivers.
