BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I wrote about Andy Isabella last weekend, offering him as a good waiver wire pickup entering the Cardinals Week 3 matchup against a bad Detroit defense. WR3 Christian Kirk was expected to miss this past Sunday's game and indeed he did, opening the door for Isabella to be on the field for more snaps than in the first two weeks of the season.
Isabella almost doubled the number of snaps he was on the field in Week 3 compared to weeks 1 and 2 (26 to 14 and 14), and he was automatic catching the ball to finish with a perfect 4-of-4 receptions for 47 yards... and 2 TDs! That is probably a mirage and something that is not going to repeat itself next weekend, but Isabella has been growing on a game-to-game basis going from zero to 8.7, to now 20.1 PPR points this season. It was all about giving him a chance, and he excelled when the time arrived.
Even if Kirk comes back in time for Week 4, I still believe in Isabella outperforming Kirk going forward. Let's not get high on Kirk, please. The wideout had 1.0 PPR points in W1 and only 8.0 in W2, which means he has been similar or even worse than Isabella over the season all things considered. Isabella is just a "what the heck" flex option for those in swallow leagues, but a good one for deeper formats fantasy GMs.
