Major League Baseball free agency could reopen by Thursday night if there is a new collective bargaining agreement on Thursday, according to Tom Verducci. The league and players agreed to work on a new international draft with a deadline this summer. If they agree on something by then, an international draft will kick off in 2024, while qualifying offers for free agents will be officially dropped. The international draft was a big sticking point in CBA talks on Wednesday. There are still core economic issues to be settled, but the two sides are much closer than ever before. If they keep working at this all day again on Thursday, there's a realistic chance that a 162-game season can still be salvaged. We've also heard this multiple times before.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
