Yusei Kikuchi Drawing Interest From Yankees
Yusei Kikuchi before MLB's lockout began in early December. The New York Mets are also expected to have interest in Kikuchi once MLB and the players reach a new collective bargaining agreement, which could come as soon as Wednesday. The 30-year-old southpaw had a 4.41 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 162 strikeouts and 62 walks in 157 innings over 29 starts for the Seattle Mariners in 2021. Kikuchi wasn't great, but he did manage to make his first All-Star team. In his three seasons in Seattle, he had a 4.97 ERA and 1.40 WHIP while striking out 326 and walking 132 in 365 2/3 innings over his 70 starts. If he signs with the Yanks, he'll be more of a back-end fantasy starter.
