Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 14 - Amir Coffey, Trey Lyles, Kevon Looney, Marvin Bagley III, Dennis Smith Jr.

Week 14 fantasy basketball waiver wire pickups, adds, and sleepers for the 2021-2022 NBA season. Justin recommends free agent targets in 9-category leagues.

Welcome back to the waiver wire! Need to bolster your flailing team? We've got you covered. Maybe. We'll see.

These recommendations are mainly for 9-cat leagues, but if you play in another format, there's a good chance that the information here can still help you. We'll be looking at centers, forwards, and guards whose low rostership and upside make them ideal players to get onto your fantasy team.

Our staff at RotoBaller has great insight and daily columns on how to improve your squad and tips to make your team successful, so be sure to check them out! Now, let's get prepared for Week 14.

9-Category Leagues - Waiver Wire Adds

This column is written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues. All players in this article are rostered at around 50 percent or less.

De'Andre Hunter, SF/PF - Atlanta Hawks

50% rostered

After returning from wrist surgery, Hunter has already earned a starting spot in Atlanta. Trading away Cam Reddish opens up minutes on the wing for Hunter, who has played 30 minutes in each of the last two games and already had one explosive game, scoring 20 points and blocking three shots against Miami.

Brandon Clarke, SF/PF - Memphis Grizzlies

43% rostered

Clarke scored just nine points on Friday, ending a streak of eight games in a row scoring at least 11 points. He's had seven or more rebounds six times over that span. The return of Steven Adams might make Clarke a drop candidate soon, but for now, he's worth picking up if he's still on the wire.

Amir Coffey, SF - Los Angeles Clippers

31% rostered

The Clippers have a lot of injury issues, which was vaulted Coffey into a prime position. He's played 26 or more minutes in nine of the last 10 games and is coming off a huge showing against the Spurs, with 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting with five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block. He's made three or more threes in three of the last four games.

Lance Stephenson, SG/SF - Indiana Pacers

22% rostered

I wasn't going to put Stevenson here, but there's probably still a few more games of usage for him if you want to take a chance on him providing some assists and steals if you're in dire need of help in those categories.

Marvin Bagley III, PF/C - Sacramento Kings

27% rostered

Bagley went OFF against Houston, scoring 26 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. He blocked two shots as well. His minutes are up lately and he has enticing matches against Houston and Detroit up next on the schedule. Bagley's career trajectory tells us this won't last, but it might at least last for the next week, making him an intriguing add.

P.J. Tucker, PF/C - Miami Heat

26% rostered

Tucker has now scored in double figures in five consecutive games and he's failed to grab seven or more rebounds just once in that span. He's also made multiple three-pointers in each of his last four games, and usually provides solid steal numbers. Go ahead and grab Tucker to help bolster your center position.

Thomas Bryant, C - Washington Wizards

21% rostered

Bryant is finally back after tearing his ACL last January. He hasn't done a lot yet, but Bryant is a solid center who can score and rebound, assuming he's able to break back into the rotation. Worth a speculative add if you've got both a need at center and a good bit of patience.

Facundo Campazzo, PG - Denver Nuggets

22% rostered

Campazzo will deliver some solid numbers when he gets the minutes, like on the 13th when he had 18 points, 12 assists, and four steals against Portland. He had just nine points agains the Lakers, but still added five assists and a steal. If you need those two categories, Campazzo is an option.

Trey Lyles, PF/C - Detroit Pistons

20% rostered

Lyles has scored double-digit points in six of the last seven games, including putting up 21 points against the Raptors on Friday. Detroit's got minutes available in the frontcourt and Lyles is showing that he deserves those minutes, averaging 13.6 points per game over this current span.

Kevon Looney, PF/C - Golden State Warriors

15% rostered

Looney is coming off a 10-point, 12-rebound effort against the Bulls. His minutes are up and he's an option if you're still searching for field goal percentage, rebounding, and blocks.

Jeff Green, SF/PF/C - Denver Nuggets

13% rostered

First, love the positional versatility you get with Green. Second, he's hit double-digits in scoring in five consecutive games, including Saturday's 26-point outing against the Lakers. He made four threes in that game, adding three rebounds, four assists, and one steal to the tally as well. Need threes from the center position in a build where you're ignoring rebounds? Take a look at Green.

Robin Lopez, C - Orlando Magic

12% rostered

Lopez is a great streamer. If he's forced into heavy minutes, he'll give you double-digit points on some really efficient shooting. If Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. come back, you can just drop him and move on. It's a win-win, right?

Dennis Smith Jr., PG - Portland Trail Blazers

12% rostered

With Damian Lillard out, there are backcourt minutes available in Portland and DSJ is benefitting from that, including playing 36 minutes against the Nuggets, a game in which he scored 17 points and added eight rebounds. Nice guard depth in a deep league.

Ben McLemore, SG/SF - Portland Trail Blazers

11% rostered

McLemore has scored in double figures in four consecutive games, with multiple three-pointers in each of those games. With C.J. McCollum out, McLemore is going to continue to see extended chances. Like DSJ, a good deep-league pickup.
