Erik Jones starts from the 13th position on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway and that could be problematic. Jones on intermediate tracks with low tire-wear just does have the downforce and speed to compete where he starts. He could fall back into the field with ease. Jones does have a couple of nice results on the two-mile track but he has lost track position the last three times the race was run at 200 laps. The Richard Petty Motorsports car just does not perform well enough with this build. Some have debated it gets several mph's too slow on any run more than 15 laps. Again, that lack of place differential just is too troubling. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
