Texas Holds Joey Gallo, Elvis Andrus Out Of Saturday’s Lineup
Joey Gallo and shortstop Elvis Andrus for Saturday’s contest against the Mariners and left-hander Justus Sheffield, with neither among the club’s starting nine. Gallo has been in a steady funk at the plate, last scoring a run back on Aug. 21. Andrus has been in a similar malaise, producing just a .509 OPS in 96 plate appearances this year. Shin-Soo Choo will get a rare start versus a southpaw and hold down right field, while Anderson Tejeda gets the start at short. There has been no indication that either Gallo or Andrus are injured, with the duo likely to rejoin the lineup Sunday against righty Justin Dunn.
