Coke Zero Sugar 400: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

It's been half a year (and feels like a damn century) since I've attended a NASCAR race in person, and with the playoffs approaching I had to get back. I'm writing this to you all from the passenger's seat of my wife's car while irritating her by blaring the No Ceilings mixtape that just dropped on Spotify (Waye just drops so much heat on this one). Just like the first song on "No Ceilings" I'm banking on our DFS lineups, and bets to Swag Surf all the way to the bank this Saturday night.

At the last superspeedway race this season (Talladega), the DFS strategy of leaving a ton of salary on the table and stacking the "Low Bois" failed us. The new package for superspeedway racing after the terrifying Ryan Newman crash in February resulted in fewer wrecks, but incredible racing. I expect a good bit of casual NASCAR DFS players to take note, but it's crucial we stay true to the strategy with this being the last chance for many to get into the playoffs.

Kevin Harvick will be starting from the pole this Saturday night, and is one driver I'll be staying away from in the majority of my lineups. It's easy to want to plug and play both him and Hamlin, but there is way better value deeper in the field. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted on what's happening at the track over the weekend via Twitter & Instagram.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Denny Hamlin #11

(DraftKings $10,400 | FanDuel $11,700 | DK SportsBook +600 )

When Denny Hamlin rolls into Florida he automatically becomes "Denny Daytona". Hamlin has struggled at this race for the last few years, but with the way this year has been, you just can't afford to not throw him in some lineups. Denny starts P10 on Saturday night and is my favorite Top 10 play.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. #47

(DraftKings $8,300 | FanDuel $12,000 | DK SportsBook +2000)

Stenhouse Jr. starts P31 this Saturday night and I dont think you need any other reasons not to play him. Sure he's considered reckless, but It's looking like those days are slowly becoming a memory with his solid improvement as of late (Possibly due to Aaron & Danica breaking up). Another confidence booster for those playing Ricky is the fact that he had an absolute rocket ship of a car at the Daytona 500 this year (Get ready for round two boys and girls).

Bubba Wallace #43

(DraftKings $6,600 | FanDuel $7,000 | DK SportsBook +6600)

Wallace has become one of NASCAR's most-watched drivers this year in light of the Black Lives Matter movement, but on the track, he hasn't been able to seal the deal with a victory. Bubba has the opportunity to change that this weekend, and I'm feeling confident in the guy. Wallace has consistently had positive place differential during this race his entire career which makes him one to look for when constructing lineups.

Ryan Blaney #12

(DraftKings $10,000 | FanDuel $10,000 | DK SportsBook +1200)

I almost passed on Blaney in this spot for Chase Elliott this weekend, and while Elliott provides great place differential, Blaney is a guy that has shown speed like no other this season. Blaney has obviously had his fair share of bad luck, but his only win this season came at Dega with the package adjustments, and I think that's important to consider. Blaney could potentially lead a good bit of laps starting from P9.

Corey LaJoie #32

(DraftKings $5,300 | FanDuel $6,000)

As I said in this week's NASCAR DFS Preview video, LaJoie is my all-time favorite superspeedway DFS play. The man has basically become a fixture for me at this point due to his ability to send it when the checkered flag flies. LaJoie only has one race in his Cup Series career where he didn't finish with positive place differential, and he's had two Top 10s in the most recent races in Daytona.

Ty Dillon #13

(DraftKings $6,100 | FanDuel $8,900)

(Geico) Dillon is another guy I like for place differential alongside LaJoie at superspeedways. Dillon will start P29 for this race, and as long as he doesn't get caught up in a wreck as he did at the 500, we should hopefully see him pull off at least a Top 15. Dillon finished this race P4 in last year's rainout.

Michael McDowell #34

(DraftKings $6,900 | FanDuel $9,800)

Put some respect on Mike Mac's name this week and fire up the McDowell in DFS! McDowell has no doubt become one of our favorite guys to talk about this season, and should deliver nice results this Saturday night. McDowell has been a consistent Top 15 finisher at this track as of late, and I expect nothing short of that starting from P26.

 John Hunter Nemechek #38

(DraftKings $6,800 | FanDuel $8,500)

Nemechek has been hot at the two superspeedway races we've seen in 2020, with a Top 10 and a Top 15. I expect Nemechek, and McDowell to both do well as long as they can dodge "The Big One" (gotta happen). Nemechek starts in P24 on Saturday night.
