KBO DFS Lineup Picks for 6/25/20 - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball

John Gresens' KBO DFS lineup picks for contests on FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/25/20. Daily fantasy baseball analysis for pitchers, hitters and DFS stacks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another KBO DFS pick column with yours truly! If you haven't been following me on Twitter @efhatch1990dfs, then you should start! I have been covering KBO since day one, and have been creating my own personal KBO DFS Cheat Sheets to help people win money, you will now be able to find those sheets here on Rotoballer with the ease of a click and that is why you won't be seeing my sheets included here anymore unless I make a custom sheet for a particular reason!

New to KBO? Don't worry, we got you covered! DraftKings and FanDuel will use the same scoring system that they do for MLB, however, the roster builds are much different on FanDuel. You must roster two infielders, two outfielders, and two utility players along with a pitcher for a total of only seven players on FanDuel. DraftKings has kept its normal MLB structure with two starting pitchers and an entire eight-hitter lineup for a total of ten players. Building lineups on each site is going to take a different approach on most nights.

Today, I'll be providing my KBO DFS lineup picks and analysis for this five-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 2:00 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2020. DraftKings and FanDuel are both on different pages, DraftKings rolled out a four-game slate with the first game of the double-headers and FanDuel included the 5:30 HAN vs SAM game as well. You can check our daily KBO Betting Picks as well. Make sure you are also following me @efhatch1990dfs on Twitter, and good luck RotoBallers!

KBO DFS Pitchers

Dan Straily (LOT) -186

$9.5K DraftKings, $23 FanDuel

THIS COULD BE A POSTPONED GAME - MONITOR CLOSELY

This is the top arm on the slate! Straily has been a beast since coming into the KBO, with a 10 K/9 average on the season thus far, and coming off a dominant outing against Kiwoom where he racked up 12Ks.

In his last three starts, Straily has gone seven or more innings and collected a QS in all three games, but the offense wasn’t able to get him the win in any of them. Min Woo Lee has been struggling as of late, so Lotte should be able to get him the win.

KIA has been struggling on the road and is much better at home. To quote Eric's article from yesterday: “Kia is a team that struggles on the road, hitting .252 in June with 65 strikeouts to only 28 walks, which amounts to strikeouts in 18% of team's away at-bats this month”. Straily has a good matchup tomorrow, and should continue his dominance in this league.

Tyler Wilson (LG) -150

$8.2K DraftKings, $25 FanDuel

Wilson will be a great safe option on this slate and I like pairing him with Straily for cash games (if that game plays). He will be pitching in the best pitcher's park, and has home field advantage against a team that leads the league in strikeouts on the season.

Add to that the fact that they are striking out at a 20% clip to righties with a .261 batting average, and this sets up to be a great cash game match up with strikeout upside. Last time out against Kiwoom, Wilson went 6 ⅓ with six Ks and only one BB. If he comes close to that line, I’ll be happy with him as a cash SP2 or GPP SP1.

Hui Kwan Yu (DOO) -175

$6.7K DraftKings, $22 FanDuel

Yu is going to be the best low-salary option for pitching, He has a great matchup against SK today who has been struggling all year especially against lefties, hitting .239 and striking out at 21.3%. That’s .9% higher than the next-worst team.

We know from his career that Yu is not a strikeout pitcher, but he should be pitching with the lead and should be able to cruise through this lineup and get a QS and the win. I like him a lot on FanDuel as a low salary option to be able to fit the big bats in GPP.

In the last meeting with SK, Yu was at home and had his best outing of the season going seven innings, with one ER, and striking out five (his only game with more than two strikeouts).

Other Options:

  • Mike Wright (NCD) -182
  • David Buchanan FanDuel only (SAM) -250 CHANCE OF RAIN

KBO Top Hitter Stacks

Doosan Bears

Day-in and day-out everyone knows to stack the Bears on the road. It’s like stacking Coors, you damn near have to do it. Today is no exception. I am truly hoping people are game-log watchers and see that Park put up his best stat line this year against Doosan.

Pay attention to two things: 1) that game was in Jamsil and, 2) Park has been struggling in the month of June, after having started the year out pitching extremely well. Maybe those factors can suppress ownership a little bit.

Main Targets:

Secondary

  • Hae Seong Kook
  • Joo Hwan Choi

NC Dinos

The Dinos come into this game in what we could call a mild slump, going 5-5 in their last ten games. But I don’t care about that. This is the top offense in almost all statistics, and I will stack them almost every night depending on the park.

Tonight they get to face Je Seong Bae who gave up three bombs to Lotte in this ballpark. That has inflated his HR/9 stats, but still he has given up 1.35 HR/9 this season. The Dinos have faced him once before this year and were left empty-handed even though they got seven hits on him. I’m hoping that was more on the luck side and the Dinos should be able to put some runs on the scoreboard.

Main Targets

  • Sung Bum Na
  • Eui Ji Yang
  • Jin Sung Kang

Secondary

  • Hee Dong Kwon
  • Jin Hyuk No

KT Wiz

I don’t really like a full stack of this team, as Wright has been very good in the KBO, but I do like Baek Ho Kang and Mel Rojas Jr. as a mini-stack or one-offs. Kang has ten HRs this year - nine off righties, and 20 of his 24 RBIs as well.

I saw on Twitter the other day that Rojas has the top hard-hit rate in the league, and it wasn’t close either. Eight homers and 20 RBI put him just below Kang on the stats chart, but he is far higher on my list to the roster.

Other DFS Stacks

  • Lotte Giants - If this game plays, I like this team quite a bit. Watch the weather, and hopefully they can play this game.
  • LG Twins - are more one-offs and mini-stacks like KT.

Good luck in your DFS contests everyone. Be sure to stop back every day for some more KBO DFS analysis here at RotoBaller!
