Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson is making his final Daytona 500 start as a full-time Cup Series driver. In 36 starts at DIS, he has three wins, 16 Top 10 finishes, and 299 laps led, which are fourth-most of active drivers. Since 2018 at the site, Johnson ranks fourth in Fastest Laps (22). “Seven-Time” is one of only two drivers to have placed in the Top 10 in both races at Daytona last season. Superspeedways are far from Johnson’s favored track type, but he starts sixth this week, therefore he likely will lose place differential. Johnson’s equipment and experience are decent for the price since he will compete for a Top 10 finish, but there are still cheaper and better alternatives.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
