Nate Duffett highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 7/3/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

There are 16 games on the schedule today, and I will be focusing my research on the fourteen-game main slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/3/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Mike Leake: SEA vs STL ($8,400)

The Cardinals have been a profitable team to roster starting pitchers against, as they are by far the worst hitting team in the majors over the last month. They have a .271 team wOBA, sitting 14 points below the second-worst team. Leake will face his former team for the first time so there should be some extra motivation there, and he is 4-1 with a 4.14 ERA over his last six starts.

John Means: BAL at TB ($8,600)

Speaking of bad teams over the last month, the Rays have been another one of the worst hitting teams over that period with a .302 team wOBA. John Means enters this game on an absolute tear, allowing one or fewer runs in six of his last nine starts, with the other three starts never getting above three earned runs. Means has had struggles striking batters out, but the Rays have a 24.3% strikeout rate in the last month, which could give Means even more upside than he already has.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Freddie Freeman: C/1B, ATL vs PHI ($4,400)

With the pitching matchup we will see at SunTrust Park tonight, there is a good chance we will see some offensive fireworks coming out of both dugouts. Nick Pivetta seemed like he was starting to get back on track after a complete game at the start of June, but ever since has allowed 14 earned runs in 17 innings, including seven home runs. When a pitcher is struggling so badly, I like to take the opposing teams best hitter instead of getting cute with an under-the-radar play, and in this case, the pick has to be Freeman. He enters this game with a .418 wOBA and .283 ISO against right-handed pitching and is almost sure to be the main headache for Pivetta if his rough season continues tonight.

Luis Arraez: 2B, MIN at OAK ($2,700)

Add Arraez to the list of rookies who are making an impact in their respective lineups to start this season. He has shown no need of having to adjust to major league pitching, boasting a .411/.493/.518 slash line in his first 20 games. He faces Tanner Anderson who has gone 0-3 with a 7.13 ERA in four appearances so far this season. You won't be able to get Arraez at this discounted price for much longer, so you should roster him while you still can.

Justin Turner: 3B, LAD vs ARI ($3,200)

The Dodgers return home to the friendly confines of Dodger Stadium, a place where they are averaging over half a run per game more than on the road. Turner is only managing a .119 ISO against right-handed pitching, but a 47% Hard Contact rate would make me think he could turn around his power numbers very soon. Merrill Kelly has been having a tough time against right-handed hitters, allowing a 4.67 ERA and ten home runs.

Alex Bregman: SS, HOU at COL ($4,600)

I could have easily used Yordan Alvarez as the main piece of the Astros lineup, but his sore knee will make me lean towards Bregman in case they give Alvarez some extra rest. I would guess they will do everything they can to have them in the lineup, as they face Peter Lambert who has a 9.95 ERA in three career starts at Coors Field. Bregman has been going through a bit of a rough patch as of late, but a trip to hitter-friendly Coors Field should get his confidence back on track.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Rhys Hoskins: OF, PHI at ATL ($4,300)

Hoskins has been red-hot, with four home runs in his last ten games. He hits right-handed pitchers well with a .369 wOBA and 14 home runs, and is in a good position tonight when he faces Bryse Wilson. Wilson enters this game with an 8.31 ERA, allowing four earned runs in each of his two starts.

Mookie Betts: OF, BOS at TOR ($4,100)

Sean Reid-Foley's 6.38 FIP against right-handed hitting gives cause to believe that he could have a rough outing against the Red Sox tonight. The Red Sox have a right-handed heavy top of the lineup that will give Reid-Foley troubles, and Betts is one of the best hitters in the lineup against right-handed pitching. Betts enters the game with a .383 wOBA and .228 ISO against righties.
