Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/16/19. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Happy Father's Day! Are you taking your dad to a WNBA game today? I'm pretty sure I saw that the Sun have some pretty good ticket specials today, so if you're in the Connecticut area, that sounds like a good plan. In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/16/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Courtney Williams (G, Connecticut Sun) – vs Seattle Storm (DK: $9,200, FD: $7,300)

I don't like today's slate, because it features two of the league's best defensive teams playing at home, which is a real recipe for some low-scoring, grind it out basketball, especially when you factor in that Seattle is third-best in points allowed per game.

But they also allow the second-most assists and third-highest three-point field goal percentage in the league, so I'm targeting the Connecticut backcourt. Courtney Williams scored just eight points in her last outing, but before that had scored in double figures in six consecutive games. She's not a huge volume shooter from deep, but has been taking a couple attempts per game, and combine that with the fact that she's a guard who rebounds at a pretty high rate and whose passing skills are underrated, and we should be seeing a strong outing from her in this one.

Sami Whitcomb (G, Seattle Storm) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $4,500, FD: $4,100)

With Jordin Canada out today, I'd expect to see an increase in minutes for Whitcomb in a Storm backcourt that won't be in great shape. Whitcomb saw her minutes increase to 19 last game due to Canada exiting, and she had nine points and a pair of assists while hitting a pair of three-pointers. I don't expect some huge increase in her production, but if you're looking to target a player whose ratio of minutes played to DFS pricing is a good ratio and who can give her team some needed buckets, Whitcomb's an intriguing option.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Sylvia Fowles (F, Minnesota Lynx) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $10,700, FD: $8,100)

When three of the league's best defenses are playing and the fourth team is only the fifth-best defense, I guess you need to target that opponent? The Aces allow 76.3 points per game, which is good, but they do allow the third-most rebounds per game, something that should be a good sign for Sylvia Fowles, who is third in the league in rebounding. Fowles has seen her points per game drop to 15.1 this year, her lowest mark since 2016, but she's one of the WNBA's best centers still, a player capable of producing on both ends, and of the high-priced forward options in this slate, Fowles is the one whose matchup and skills feel the best aligned in terms of producing a strong outing.

Alysha Clarke (F, Seattle Storm) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $7,000, FD: $5,300)

I like Clarke's FanDuel pricing a little more, but she should be a good play in either format because with Canada out, Clarke becomes the unquestioned number three option this Storm team. She's a good player, someone capable of getting rebounds and assists while scoring a handful of points, and the fact that she's been putting up solid fantasy performances without scoring much over the last few games should be a good sign that her fantasy floor is pretty high in this one, even against a stout Sun defense.
